I got a flyer from the Disney Movie Club and in it I read that Disney is gonna do a new version of the movie Pete's Dragon and I would like to know if you have heard about this new movie? I find it surprising that 2016 is gonna be the year Disney is gonna make remakes of their new movies starting with the live action version of The Jungle Book coming later this year and now with this new Pete's Dragon remake,

now their making live action films the jungle book comes out this APril 12 to the theaters then their making live action mulian movie then live action beauty & the best movie then their also making an live action Aladdin movie its called gennies it don't come out unitl some time in 2018!!

the original pete's dragon is my all time favorite disney movie this one looks different looking at least it doesn't look too childish!! i hope its good!!

I remember seeing the original version of Pete's Dragon when I was a kid at school when my class used to have movie day and I disliked it but the only song I liked from the original Pete's Dragon was Candle On The Water and it's a wonderful song sung by singer Helen Reddy. I wonder if Disney will have a singer do a remake of Candle On The Water for this new Pete's Dragon?

I saw "The Secret life of pets" today and they showed a preview/ coming attraction of Pete's dragon. Looked pretty cool! ;) :) :wave:

Can't really be surprised Disney is remaking any of their films. Some of their films have already been remade twice: There's 2 remakes of Freaky Friday (yep, there was one in the 90s), The Shaggy Dog has also been remade twice (another from the 90s), to name just a few.

Even The Jungle Book, just counting the Disney produced ones, had a remake in the 90's, Jason Scott Lee played Mowgli.
