Twenty-five years ago, Movieline magazine did something really odd. They asked three of their contributors to write interviews with deceased celebrities as though they had never died. What follows is a bizarre and funny read. This is what it might have been like if Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Freddie Prinze Sr. had lived to see 1991.

Sorry , but I don't think Freddie Prinze belongs among such historic luminaries such as James Dean and Marilyn Monroe.

He became famous for killing himself because he wanted to be as "Important" as Lenny Bruce.
I did not like Lenny Bruce's type of humor or the genre of "insult comedy" that he created, but for what it was, Lenny Bruce was the original and Freddie Prinze was a wanna-be.
Freddie Prinze was not even a very good comedian. He became a celebrity for the same reason Jennifer Lopez did, he was a token Hispanic in Hollywood, and the world of show business. He had near-mediocre talent at best.

Of course it is my opinion.

But not my opinion. I loved him on Chico and the Man. And he was a good comedian too. :)
