View Full Version : I wonder why PBS tlc38tlc38 02-17-2016, 10:17 AM stopped airing "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". To my knowledge, it always got good ratings. They should start airing this again. TVQuack 02-17-2016, 10:25 AM It is still airing in my neck of the woods down here in Florida. tlc38tlc38 02-17-2016, 10:43 AM ^Lucky you, here in Georgia it doesn't anymore. I bought a really good set of episodes from ioffer but I'd like to be able to record as many episodes as possible for my cousins (and myself) to own. The DVDs amazon has are way overly priced. Svenfan1234 02-17-2016, 05:42 PM I too wish Mr Rogers were still on PBS Torgo 02-17-2016, 08:23 PM Just looked, and it not longer airs here (Oregon Public Broadcasting), not sure when it stopped airing, but it was on at least to the late-2000s because I use to watch it with my daughter. tlc38tlc38 02-17-2016, 08:33 PM It's one of the (if not THE) best Children's (of all ages) tv shows of all time and it should continue to air. The values of this show never fade. My favorite part is "picture picture" when they show how things are made. Svenfan1234 02-17-2016, 08:47 PM I love "Picture Picture"! 70s show watcher 02-22-2016, 08:32 PM it dosent air here in az anymore ether Nordy 02-22-2016, 09:50 PM I don't even know how long ago I've seen Mr. Rodgers. Being close to the Chicago market you would think it would be on someplace but nope. Svenfan1234 02-22-2016, 10:10 PM I know. It used to air Sunday mornings here Crusinforabrusin 02-17-2017, 09:53 AM It still airs here in the Pittsburgh area. I love the show and am glad I can still watch it gidgetgrape 02-17-2017, 02:43 PM stopped airing "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". To my knowledge, it always got good ratings. They should start airing this again. I think they rather show "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" now. Hawkee 02-18-2017, 02:27 AM I love "Picture Picture"! Wasn't Picture Picture that part of Mister Rogers Neighborhood where the mail carrier would bring Mr. Rogers a video tape that would feature titles like "How Milk Is Made" And the mail carrier and Mr. Rogers would watch it together and discuss it? That part was such an iconic part of Mister Rogers Neighborhood and I myself watched Mister Rogers Neighborhood as a toddler and my other favorite part of Mister Rogers Neighborhood was when the Neighborhood Trolley would visit the Land Of Make Believe. I think after Fred Rogers's death PBS no longer showed the episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood but I have seen Mister Rogers Neighborhood reruns in some PBS stations mainly in the Texas area. But at least PBS is keeping Mr. Rogers spirit alive by having the series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood which also is wonderful as well Bestie Ron Ron 02-20-2017, 10:55 PM I dont get Mister Rogers here either in Texas. tlc38tlc38 09-11-2017, 09:53 AM Just checked my listings and it appears that it's returning to PBS channel 8 in Georgia. It's only got 2 listings so far on Saturday 9/16 & 9/23 at 6am. Something is better than nothing. MA 09-11-2017, 11:03 AM Mister Rogers is still airing on NHPTV here in New Hampshire. It's on NHPTV Explore though. And get this, Classical Stretch is still airing there too. Dude111 09-11-2017, 06:43 PM stopped airing "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". Svenfan1234 09-11-2017, 07:14 PM I like Sesame Street too, until they stopped showing the classic segments. Yeah. It's too bad all the eps of Sesame Street are hidden away in a vault somewhere... they really need to either release them on DVD or start releasing the early ones to Netflix/Shout! Factory MA 09-11-2017, 07:26 PM Yeah. It's too bad all the eps of Sesame Street are hidden away in a vault somewhere... they really need to either release them on DVD or start releasing the early ones to Netflix/Shout!
