And I have gravitated to season 4, specifically the disk where they are getting ready for their trip when Lucy's mother crashes the party announcing that she is going to go with them "California Here We Come" through "Don Juan and the Starlets".

The place they stayed in during "First Stop" was hilarious, and yet somehow that "room" gives me a cozy feeling. I am very odd in that regard.

Over a year ago I discussed on here how the Ricardos' first apartment felt cozier to me somehow.

I guess the show makes me feel cozy in general because these people, although in black and white, have been in my various living rooms for the past 45 years. I turn 50 the end of this year and some of my earliest childhood memories were seeing "I Love Lucy" reruns on television.

Seems so odd to me that circa 1970, the show had only been off of CBS for 13 years. Now it's been off for almost 60! Totally insane.

I put the "All Play" on for this specific disk, and I hit the replay button on my DVD and let it play all night long. Certain shows and certain episodes of shows help me to sleep oddly enough, and this set of shows on this disk does it for me.

I was wondering if anybody else had this odd habit of sleeping or napping while certain episodes are on, especially on your DVD player.

You're not the only one who does this. I always go to bed with a DVD in. Most of the time it's one of my "homemade" discs with 12 episodes on it of "Mama's Family". Sometimes I will also put in "Petticoat Junction" or "The Beverly Hillbillies". These shows comfort me.

Hmm ... I've never actually tried this. Maybe I could bring up my laptop one night and do this. I don't have a TV in my room lol

I also do it too. When I'm ready for bed I'll usually put on some sort of classic comedy or lighthearted show. I don't watch crime dramas when ready for bed. When I put the DVD in, I make sure it has a play all button. Then I'll just watch it until I fall asleep
