The Wheel of Fortune star says she urged Hugh Hefner not to put her on the 1987 cover of the men’s magazine.

she had no control over what Playboy did - apparently when she was very young she posed for some risqué lingerie photos which the photographer kept and then sold to Playboy after she got famous - their decision to run them was pretty opportunistic and unconscionable.

This is an old story. No one forced her to pose for the pictures or sign the rights away. She did it for the money. The same reason Playboy ran the pictures.

still the story attempts to imply that she chose to pose for Playboy and now she regrets it - that's a big distinction from the truth.
