"The Mindy Project" Books "The Walking Dead" Star Lauren Cohan for Guest Spot
by Dalton Ross
February 11, 2016
Lauren Cohan was on stage at the Apple Store SoHo in New York City on Tuesday night to talk about the return of "The Walking Dead". But she also broke some comedy casting news in the process.
When asked by a fan why she gravitates towards spookier fare like "The Walking Dead", "Supernatural", "The Vampire Diaries", and her recent horror film The Boy, Cohan mentioned her love of comedy and that she actually booked a gig which will enable her to deliver laughs instead of screams.
“I’m doing fun stuff,” she told the crowd (as well as yours truly, who was moderating the Q&A). “I’m about to do some Mindy Project, which is going to be really fun.”
One of our favorite actresses on one of our favorite comedies? Is it too good to be true? No! It turns out Cohan was not just making stuff up willy-nilly and will, in fact, be guest-starring in a two-episode arc in what is described as “a cool, stylish woman who Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) and Jody (Garret Dillahunt) get in a fight over.”
Uh-oh, better not let Glenn find out about this.
No official word yet on when season 4 of "The Mindy Project" will return on Hulu with Cohan’s appearances.
