explained to you by your cable provider why they don't offer it? Is it something to do with the satellite interfering with the signal? I know it sucks to see all of what these channels offer and they are not offered

Also there is no way to disconnect the cable and see Antenna TV or Me-TV that way with a Antenna?

I really don't think that's possible where I live. My parents (they live next door to me) have an antenna on their roof and a converter box for their TV in their basement. They're able to get Me-TV, but the signal is extremely unreliable. It seems like the only time they're able to get any channels on that TV is when it's freezing cold outside.

I did write to Dish a couple of years ago and I asked them to please add Antenna TV and Me-TV. They wrote back, but they didn't give any explanation as to why they don't have those channels.

I bought an antenna and hooked it up last week.

I wasn't able to get ANY channels where I live.

Luckily, the store where I bought the antenna took it back and gave me a refund.

This sucks because I really wanted to get Antenna TV and MeTV.

My only options are Dish network and DIRECTV (which I have DIRECTV) because cable isn't available in my area. But the cable company that is closest to me DOES offer these channels so hopefully one day they'll extend their coverage of the area so I'm able to get them.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you'll one day be able to see Antenna, Me TV and Laff. Considering that they are always adding new affiliates, I wouldn't doubt it if one day a local station picks them up in your area.

The cable company closest to me does offer these channels but they don't offer cable in my area...if that makes sense.

I live in the sticks so the cable company that is in the nearest big city doesn't reach out to me.

If you called the customer service do you think they would explain why?

I would like to know myself

^The say there's not enough people in my area to support having cable available. But 10 miles down the road, cable IS available. It's just the pocket that I live in.

I was asking does your satellite provider has a customer service number?

Detroit just recently got Antenna TV back as of February 1st as another local station has become an affiliate.

Previously, the former affiliate dropped Antenna TV in 2014.

Never did get a straight answer as to why. The former affiliate blamed Comcast while Comcast blamed the former affiliate.

I know I would probably want to cancel if it was me and I could not get a answer for why they don't offer Non-cable channels. That sucks

As of the beginning of this year, Dish does carry Laff at least.

I already emailed them and practically begged them to pick up Antenna TV and Me-TV, so I don't really have any interest in calling customer service. I don't really care what their reason is for not carrying those channels.

This was the best answer I could find. Antenna TV and Me-TV are not considered Major Networks and Directv only offer Local channels like ABC, CBS, PBS, FOX, and NBC.

Antenna and Me might be on Dish or Direct TV if they are on the .1 main channel. But if they are on the sub channels like .2, .3 and so on them they will not carry them. They only carry sub channels if they are affiliated with one of the main big 5 networks.

Then that means Directv offers nothing lol

The retronets can't be carried on cable unless your area has an affiliate airing it. So even if Comcast or other companies wanted to, they could not offer Me-TV since Fort Wayne does not have an affiliate.

I have DirecTV and the only off-air channel they provide is MeTV but in order to be able to get Antenna TV, Cozi TV, ThisTV, LaffTV, Movies! Heroes is by hooking up a rabbit ear antenna to my HDTV.

Comcast and Verizon Fios do offer all those channels. Fios is not available in my area, and I have DirecTV right now, and there are no affiliates in my area that will carry those channels through satellite.

Where I live. I get Laff, Buzzr, Antenna TV, MeTv, Cozi, Gettv through my directv box.

You need to get a directv hr20 tuner and hook it up to your box.

It's the same for us. No Cable, no DSL, so we can't watch online either, we can only get Dish or Direct TV and neither offer Antenna TV or Me-TV and we can't pick up anything with an antenna.

One of Detroit's stations is supposedly an affiliate for Heroes and Icons as well, but we still don't have it on Comcast (yet).

OH Nuts!

I don't have cable-where I live Antenna is a free basic channel (WPIX 11.2). Many major cities provide it for free(at least NYC does)
