The Random board was set up just for random chats between members. If you notice my posts, probably about 30,000 came from the random board. We would meet at a certain time and just chat for hours. There were usually about 5 or 6 groups posting over there originally. Unfortunately many of those members have left and so the board is practically dead now. It was a fun time though. I met many friends over there.

the Random Posts board is mainly supposed to be for those off-topic 'conversation' -type threads so they don't clutter up other boards

before it existed, some of the individual show boards would get completely overrun with that type of thread and people would complain that they couldn't find any threads about the show
