View Full Version : STILL NOT ON DVD YET?!
Wildchats 02-05-2016, 12:34 PM Amen- Come on, at least season 1 should have seen a release a few years back. I doubt it would have sold many, but still, season 1 should have came out around 2006.
Step By Step- This one makes completely NO SENSE. It would be a big seller and I bet all seasons would have been released by now had they released them starting circa 2004/2005 when they did that stupid "TV favorites" DVD.
Head Of The Class- At least season 1 should have been out by now.
The Hogan Family- Season 1 should have been out by now. Not so sure how good it would sell.
I think that's practically it for long running sitcoms. Not sure if I'm missing any others.
Spinoffs (Short lived):
The Ropers, Three's A Crowd, The Golden Palace, Models Inc.
These I could see why they haven't been released yet...
1 season shows (Dramas):
Pacific Palisades, Titans, North Shore, Cane
JamesG 02-05-2016, 02:15 PM I'm still waiting for "Unhappily Ever After" (1995-99, 5 Seasons).
Torgo 02-05-2016, 03:00 PM The Showtime sitcom Brothers ran for 5 seasons in the 80s, still no DVD.
tlc38tlc38 02-05-2016, 05:48 PM Apparently "Green Acres" 'ain't the place to be', seeing as we've been waiting years on seasons 4-6 to be released on DVD.
zypherix 02-05-2016, 06:01 PM Empty Nest.. it is a spinoff, but 7 seasons and no DVD...?
MrCleveland 02-05-2016, 06:11 PM How about Hangin' With Mr. Cooper?
Why hasn't this show seen DVD release?
And why has the U.S. refrained Gimme a Break! to DVD? I know it's available in Canada!
tlc38tlc38 02-05-2016, 07:02 PM I know for a fact that "Step by Step" and "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" have tons of music. This could be what is holding these shows up.
tlc38tlc38 02-05-2016, 07:03 PM Empty Nest.. it is a spinoff, but 7 seasons and no DVD...?
Yes, this one still surprises me. I'm not sure why this one is being held.
bmasters9 02-05-2016, 07:25 PM Trapper John, M.D.: seven seasons on CBS Sundays (1979-86), yet not on DVD (though hopefully it might be, given Fox's apparent willingness to open up the vaults to Shout! again with this upcoming first release of Lou Grant)
chriszme 02-05-2016, 09:06 PM ABC doesn't seem to like to license there shows or put out themselves?
Yes, this one still surprises me. I'm not sure why this one is being held.

I'm surprised about Amen since Sherman Hemsley is involved. ALso the Ropers and TAC have been on Antenna TV for people to record if you have Comcast

tlc38tlc38 02-06-2016, 11:17 AM ^What was the point?

Really?
Well...if they come to DVD, I won't doubt It'll be like the That 70's Show DVD's which seem to be watered-down.

Here are guides I made for the music used in the series:

I responded the wrong because I didn't type under quote
I was saying I'm surprised Amen is not out because of sherman hemsley
Becca3557 02-06-2016, 12:12 PM I agree about Empty Nest. That is baffling. It is currently running on Laff and Blue Highways. Those channels have the exact same programming for a good portion of the day.
TVFactFan 02-06-2016, 12:25 PM This is the reason Amen will probably never make it to DVD
In Part 2 of Sherman Hemsley's Interview on Youtube he was asked why Amen was cancelled and said
"Because it was Johnny Carson Show and since he was leaving NBC that year he just took everything with him included the show"
JamesG 02-07-2016, 09:45 AM It's a little more recent, but "Yes, Dear" (2000-06, 6 Seasons) has no DVD release.

I wish I could get Laff. That sounds like a great channel.
I'm hoping someone records these new versions for traders.
Svenfan1234 02-07-2016, 02:41 PM I don't understand why "St. Elsewhere" hasn't been completed-- I think it'd sell well
