Step By Step- This one makes completely NO SENSE. It would be a big seller and I bet all seasons would have been released by now had they released them starting circa 2004/2005 when they did that stupid "TV favorites" DVD.

Head Of The Class- At least season 1 should have been out by now.

The Hogan Family- Season 1 should have been out by now. Not so sure how good it would sell.



I think that's practically it for long running sitcoms. Not sure if I'm missing any others.

I'm still waiting for "Unhappily Ever After" (1995-99, 5 Seasons).

The Showtime sitcom Brothers ran for 5 seasons in the 80s, still no DVD.

Apparently "Green Acres" 'ain't the place to be', seeing as we've been waiting years on seasons 4-6 to be released on DVD.

I'm surprised about Amen since Sherman Hemsley is involved. ALso the Ropers and TAC have been on Antenna TV for people to record if you have Comcast

I agree about Empty Nest. That is baffling. It is currently running on Laff and Blue Highways. Those channels have the exact same programming for a good portion of the day.

This is the reason Amen will probably never make it to DVD


In Part 2 of Sherman Hemsley's Interview on Youtube he was asked why Amen was cancelled and said

"Because it was Johnny Carson Show and since he was leaving NBC that year he just took everything with him included the show"

It's a little more recent, but "Yes, Dear" (2000-06, 6 Seasons) has no DVD release.
