Party Over Here, from SNL alums Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, will avoid competing against Saturday Night Live by running from 11 to 11:30 pm. As The Lonely Island explained on Twitter: "One of our stipulations to Fox (https://twitter.com/thelonelyisland/status/695378115690782720) was that we wouldn't air at the same time as @nbcsnl. This show is over at 11:30. SNL...And we called Lorne first to get his blessing."

Paul Scheer, who’s also behind Party Over Here, says there’s one sketch in particular, featuring a ghost hunter who has sex with ghosts, that’s having trouble getting past censors. "We would love to release totally redband versions of things. That's a dance we have to do with Fox,” he says.

The sketch show from The Lonely Island and Paul Scheer, premiering Saturday, didn’t want to be the new SNL. "Because the show has no ultimate structure, we don’t have to talk about what's going on that week,” says Scheer. "It can be evergreen stuff. It allows the writers to go in all sorts of different directions."

"SNL has one or two good moments per show, but Party Over Here doesn’t even have that,” says Brian Moylan of The Lonely Island-produced female sketch comedy show. "It’s like they didn’t quite know how to execute their great ideas.” PLUS: It's fun, funny, relatable (http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/party-over-here-asks-who-are-these-women-whats-the-233695), and everything felt forced and contrived (http://www.ew.com/article/2016/03/13/party-over-here-review).
