did you ever come across one or more channels that you didn't know you have? I just found out that we have WGN AMERICA and I never knew we have it. When I was in the nursing home recovering from my stroke the TV in my room had it and when I came home and found out I didn't have it (at least I thought I didn't) I was wondering why because I had the same cable provider.

When I did have cable back 6-7 years ago; I went to the cable provider website and print out the channel listing every 6 months and discovery many new channels have been added. I go and look at the different levels too! If you have a computer or mobile device, you can do that to keep up to date on the programming! It is good for a couple hours of viewing!

Also, keep in mind that most cable companies have varying tiers of service and carry different channels on different tiers. There seems to be little rhyme or reason to it. One of the reasons we switched from Comcast to FIOS was that Comcast continually switched channels to higher-priced tiers and this was before the switch-over to digital. FIOS does it as well; they dropped The Weather Channel in favor of Accu-Weather which annoyed lots of folks. It's a frustrating state of affairs.

what are "tiers" & "levels"?
WOW, TV watching has sure gotten complicated!

In simplistic terms, the more you pay, the higher you go, the more channels you get.

remember the good ol' days when the only things you had to decide on with a TV were what size to get and if you wanted color or black-and-white?
