I'd like to take some time out right now and wish the late, great Sherman Hemsley a happy birthday. He would've turned 78 today. May he rest in peace.

Happy Birthday Sherman Hemsley !! You are truly missed. I watch the Jeffersons every night. Rest in Peace George.

He was a shy, retiring man off camera and I'm sure many people took full advantage of his true nature...He had to move to El Paso, TX in his last days and died almost alone...:( His body was in the funeral home for two damn months while his estate was settled. He rests in Fort Bliss Military Cemetary since he was a Army Veteran.
