Now with all these old sitcoms being revived such as Full house (Fuller House) Boy Meets World (Girl meets world) X files and now Gilmore Girls, wouldn't it be awesome if Facts of life would come back. If it did how would you want it to be and who out of the cast would you like to see be on the show?

I think it would be cool if it would be like when they left off at the last episode where Eastland became a school for girls and boys. Lisa Whelchel could be on the show as the Headmistress and her real life daughter Clancy now that she is an actress could be on the show as a teacher and house mother of sorts or dorm monitor. Mindy and Kim could make guest appearances every so often since there kids would be attending the school. I highly doubt Nancy would be on the show they could have her daughter on there but it wouldn't be the same if Nancy couldn't make a guest appearance every once in a while. And maybe Charlotte Rae could make a guest appearance. But they would make it a little bit more modern with problems focused more on today's teens but try to keep it somewhat a clean show.

I would be for it. I think it could be about the kid Blair/Tad wanted to have in the reunion movie being old enough to attend Eastland, and if any of the other girls had a kid after the movie around the same time they could too. Maybe to make this version different keep the co-ed element that the series finale had.

Without a doubt it would take place at Eastland, the newly built dorm they built around 2002/2003. It would have to incorporate elements if needed to be discussed or touched upon from the 2001 reunion movie.

By now, I could see Mrs. G. has passed on. Either that, or if this does indeed happen very soon, she reprises her role as a Special Guest Star. I would say we have little to few years left if this did happen to see her on the new series as Charlotte is almost 90.

I think Blair would have re-bought Eastland after the 2001 movie. She and Tad have a few kids, if any are still high school aged, they are at Eastland. Natalie maybe has a kid with Harper. Tootie probably married Robert. What would work is Natalie and Tootie as Teacher's at the school. Natalie teaching writing and English and Tootie teaching drama. Blair would be headmistress. I don't know how Jo would figure in, but Jaime would be off on her own by now as with Tisha. Maybe Tootie has kids with Robert. It would be if the four girls would be up to doing this. More than likely it would take place in the brand new dorm, maybe even mirroring the old one for sentimental reasons, only more updated and "today" as Blair could have re-bought the place and the building would be named after her.

It would boil down to who they can get to commit to the show...
then they'd be able to structure around a new concept, on who does what.
Personally, I doubt Nancy McKeon would return, but I'd love to see her do something.
Other than a spot on The Middle, I'd bet Mindy Cohn would be open to the possibility.
Kim Fields maybe as well. She was good on Living Single and at the same time had some kind of drama school. So, I can see that...
Lisa Welch, is my concern in all this. It's a known fact that she holds a certain christian value, which has caused conflict in the past.
I'm not trying to knock her or anyone with these values, but just what issues can we cover, in this day and age, if she's there too?
I particularly recall her boycotting an episode where one of the girls has sex. Not that I'd want Highland students having sex, but it does come up nowadays. Not knowing where she stands on homosexuality... can we have a gay token on the show? Or will we be limited to a one episode, where she boycotts?
It's an interesting idea, but somehow I think it'll be bland like the reunions were.
If it happens, they'll need a strong and interesting new cast of kids.
It was the success of the original after all... Mrs. Garrett aside, that is.

I could see Natalie/Harper having adopted a kid.

I wouldn't watch it because I have zero interest. I'd rather them just show the classic FOL. Why try to top what you can't beat?

Sorry but this made me laugh

The last episode of the show was a train wreck, I would not want to see it be revived with any of the legacy characters or an extension of that plot.

All of the original cast has moved on and some don't even wanna be associated with the show.

Don't fix something that isn't broken!

True. And they did have a reunion in 2001.

Kim Fields said no. Nancy will prob say no. Lisa and Mindy prob would do it but not all the time.

It would focus on new kids. Maybe kids of Blair's and Natalie's? Too much time has passed since 2001. Almost 20 years. If they had kids they'd be well over 18 by now. It wouldn't really work to watch them as seniors or going off to college right away.

I say the same thing about Family Matters. Too much time has passed. 1998 was the end. It's been 20 years. Laura and Steve's kids or Eddie's would be well over kids now and well over high school. It won't feel right.

But who knows? After what Kim Fields said, she'd rather do Living Single, forget it. We can't have Natalie without Tootie!

I would like to see them all together one last time. Just one last time, but it's not possible. 2001 was it and Nancy couldn't do it.

Very doubtful! They did a reunion of the cast a year or so ago on the Home & Family channel or whatever that was. The only ones there were Lisa, Kim & Charlotte. It was pretty much a celebration of Charlotte's birthday. Nancy did a video satellite while Mindy sent in a pre-recorded video message. Surprisingly, George Clooney did too! But if they couldn't all get together for a 1-time cast reunion, I highly doubt they would do a NetFlix series. I think Kim was missing from the Paley Center reunion as well making that an incomplete reunion.

I really doubt Mindy would do anything FOL-related at this time. There was a really nice in-depth magazine article a few years ago celebrating FOL (I read it online), but Kim and Mindy declined to take part. Mindy said she has absolutely nothing else to say about the show.

Mindy has said that she's done speaking about The Facts of Life and she's done with that chapter of her life and is not going back.

I mean, there's really no reason to bring back the show. Shows are usually brought back if they can bring a fresh new take or make it relevant to current time, and since the concept for the spin-off failed in the last episode, I'm pretty sure it'd fall flat today.

And yeah, 20 years have passed but shows like Murphy Brown, Full House, and Roseanne have been made it back, but like I said, they at least are finding ways to remain relevant...how would The Facts of Life be relevant in 2018?

I’m all for it even if it’s a completely new cast and characters just as long as we have the original them music, preferably the version used the last three seasons. It could be about Eastland or it could even be about a shop like Edna’s Edibles or Over Our Heads with a new name and a modern day take on it.

I think if it came back, it would have to do what 90210 did, where it used a character or two that was tied to the original series with a couple guest cameo’s, but for the most part be about a new set of kids at east land. More like a reboot instead of a revival. Let’s be honest, there hasn’t been any sort of show with the setting of friends at a boarding school done since then, at least not to my knowledge. If you go off the 2001 reunion movie, it’s probably be Blair’s child attending the school and how they meet/make friends. Might be kinda cool!

That is the possible move.

Maybe have Molly Ringwald be the Mrs. Garrett. She thinks about Eastland and once she left after a year, so Molly Parker would come back as the new mentor for the children...and the school is now co-ed, so there's some boys as well as girls.

Well, actually there has been one show revolving around kids at a boarding school. it was popular on Nickelodeon and it starred Jaime Lynn Spears, you might remember it, it was called "Zoey 101." I haven't really seen it but that's the only show I can think of that had a show based around a boarding school since Facts aired.

Same, I don't see Netflix reviving the show.

I actually think The CW would be a better place to reboot the show, since they can better fit into the teen demographic.

So, if it did happen, I don't think any of the legacy characters would lead the show or come back, I think it would be a complete reimagining where they take it to a whole different creative direction, and make it a dark and moody drama (like they're gonna do with Sabrina, The Teenage Witch), which I mean would be kind of fun to see since the original show had a good dramatic side.

I totally would watch it if they turned the show on its head. I don't think Facts as a comedy would work today, but a teen drama would be kind of fun.

I would totally watch this. Molly was my fourth-favorite of the Facts girls (after only Julie Anne, Julie Pie, and Felice), and with Molly's star power I bet they could pull it off. I can just imagine a room full of students, with one yelling, "Miss Parker! Miss Parker!"
