View Full Version : Is Head of the Class the only sitcom from the 80's that lasted 4 or more seasons that
TVFactFan 02-01-2016, 12:09 AM has no seasons at all on DVD?
I didn't think that was possible for a show that ran 5 seasons. That has to be the only show with a run that long from the 80's with no releases at all
chriszme 02-01-2016, 12:45 AM Valerie's Family has none.
6 Seasons, 110 episodes.

Hogan Family was on ABC Family for a bit. Head of the Class was on Nick at Nite. And both were on local stations.

HOTC was on N@N in the 90's probably, 91 to 95
bh7812 02-02-2016, 08:30 AM At any rate neither show hasn't been seen in syndication in many frickin years now. '98 was the last time HOTC was seen in syndication here in the Chicago market. It used to be a huge weekend staple on WPWR. Though they were still airing it in '98 on there it was mostly schedule gap fillers on the weekends at that point. So it's been damn near 20 years since that's aired at all in this market.
Hogan Family also used to be a big WPWR weekend staple...the last time they were airing that regularly?? Damn...was probably '94 or '95 so that one hasn't aired in this market in a good long while either. Even worse with that show was they only cycled through the first 2 seasons..not all 6.
I very severely doubt either show is airing at all in any major US market right now. I'd even be doubtful they're airing in any of the mid or smaller markets...that's how long it's been since they've been seen. Though Coach has been on in a few markets fairly recently so it's not a total impossibility. I'd love to be proven wrong haha. I'd be seriously impressed and speechless if any market is currently running either show! Worldwide? I'm sure somewhere they're airing, just not in the US right now afaik.

No, early 2000s.
TVFactFan 02-04-2016, 12:51 AM No, early 2000s.
It was either 2000 or 2001 because it was not in syndication when I joined this site in 2002
It was about 2001. I remember being a freshman in college when it aired and thinking it did not age well. I do remember it airing in syndication for a brief second c. 1991-92.
