Earlier today, I checked tomorrow's listings on the TV schedule. Sure enough, "America's Court" is still on Channel 11 in the time slot that "Gimme a Break!" used to be on. This is a real sign of the times! In the recent past, I have written quite a bit about how different a place the world is now from the place that it was when shows like "Gimme a Break!" were on prime time or even in syndication. So far, two people have responded to my words of wisdom about the impact that Elmo from "Sesame Street" has had on these changes. However, one thing that I think is even more significant than the emergence of Elmo is the craze of Reality TV. Another thing that I have mentioned in the past is the fact that "Judge Judy" and the "Peoples' Court" were two forms of Reality TV that have been around for quite a while. The "Peoples' Court" has even been around as far back as when "Gimme a Break!" was still a prime time show. However, at this stage in the game, Reality shows are all over the dial! They are on day and night! I find it amazing that networks' determination to broadcast these types of shows cause them to put one on at three o'clock in the morning (the time that "Gimme a Break!" reruns were once shown)! I would be very interested in what any of you guys think of this situation. On top of that, I have never seen "America's Court". I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who knows anything about what it is like.

I am well aware that "Gimme a Break!" is on You Tube. However, what I am curious about is whether you are telling me that I can watch "America's Court" on You Tube. After I post this, I will probably head over there and try to find out if any episodes have been uploaded.

Although the poster who wrote that I am obsessed with "Samantha's Protest" has made a good point, my favorite episode of the whole series is "Katie Steals Julie's Jock". The main reason for this is that I think that Julie looked absolutely beautiful in the dress boots that she wore for over half of the episode. Hearing her talk about unbuttoning her blouse also made me feel quite giddy! My second favorite is the "Emergency". This is mainly because of how much I enjoy Nell's interactions with the busy body on the pay phone in the hospital. The classic line "your purse, your purse" has stuck with me since I was twelve years old! "Samantha's Protest" is third on my priority list. The main thing that I like about this episode is seeing Katie get what she deserved at the end of the episode. She had ambition that had no place to go. I also thought that Julie acted like the model of decency throughout this episode. Julie was always my favorite character on the show!
