View Full Version : The ending of the opening credits shows how dated the show is 40 years later
TVFactFan 01-31-2016, 04:10 PM At the end of the opening credits you see ALice soaking her feet in two separate pots but today you can buy a foot soaker that plugs in to the wall and generates bubbles
Poor Alice didn't have that option in 1976

tlc38tlc38 01-31-2016, 04:17 PM HAHA! I still don't own an electric foot spa. I use (which is hardly ever) a plastic tub with Epsom salt.

They seem them at my local pharmacy for $25 and I think I will get one tomorrow on the way home from work since I have a 30% off coupon which will bring it down to $17.00

I guarantee you Bonnie is here for life. Maybe longer.
ahafan02 03-25-2016, 11:09 AM I hate the word "dated"...of course it's dated...40 years is a long time and so many things have changed. The material is still timely but yeah there's a lot of stuff that you don't see anymore. I sometimes wonder what the show would look like if it came out this year instead of 1976.

I hate when posters like you come to threads and lack the ability to have fun episode discussion. Log out for me

Holy crap what a do*chebag...and yes I will gladly stop coming here and I will no longer share tidbits about the show. See I have a life, do you?

Sitcomsonline is a site for "FUN TV CHAT"
If you are able to have that then this is not the site for you

Technically you're right, but that's kind of a conversation killer. TVFactFan likes to come up with imaginary situations to talk about. Saying stuff like the above might as well defeat the purpose of this message board. So I understand TVFactFan's anger.
magellan333 06-10-2016, 10:17 PM In the Telly Savalas episode, it wasn't the long deceased guest star that dated the episode, but him firing up a cigarette in the diner.

I sure do not understand the anger at all!!?? Not everyone knows that his intent is to bring up imaginary questions. I was also asked to leave and I was called an insulting name!!??
If he is looking for certain types of comments or if he wants "imaginary" discussions only he should mention that in the initial post.

Don't worry about it. I was insulted and then asked to leave this board. I did not know that he was trying to be silly and I took and answered his question seriously. I answered it in a respectful way. I was then told that the question was "silly episode chat"

what did you think a message board was?
Crusinforabrusin 07-31-2016, 07:35 PM Why can't everyone just get along and have fun talking about Tv? I don't come here to argue with people about television. I come here to have fun discussions with other people about my favorite Tv show's. This is a site to have fun and enjoy yourself, not be mean and start arguments. If you want to do that, please log out and go elsewhere

That's how it used to be 10 years ago but some posters forget we are having a fictional conversation not REAL LIFE

Well that sucks
TVFactFan 07-31-2016, 08:28 PM Well that sucks
Prime example is the thread I just made on the Three's Company board
I was asking from a fictional standpoint why Jack didn't want furley to tell the judge he was gay?
Do you know some fools used to answer a question like that with....."it was in the script"

Because some people have no friends and take it out on us. I also don't come here to fight. I'm really a nice person if you get to know me, and all I want to do here is chat with people about TV shows. I don't want to be mean or crude or make fun of people.
Rewound50 08-16-2016, 09:21 PM For years I thought Vic Tayback played the shady Park owner in KISS meets the Phantom of the Park. Turns out that was a different actor but it's been a while since I saw the show or that movie.

So does he.
