"The League" Alum Jason Mantzoukas Joins "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"
by Dan Snierson
1/25/16

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is getting in "League" with someone very familiar/funny. Fox’s cop comedy has cast Jason Mantzoukas in a recurring role, EW has learned exclusively.

"The League" vet will surface as Adrian Pimento, a police offer who returns to the Nine-Nine after an absurdly long undercover mission — more than a decade. Jake (Andy Samberg) is obviously impressed and excited about the prospect of partnering up with Pimento, but let’s just say that living a double life for that many years does a number on your mental health.

He will begin his four-episode arc in the spring.

The second episode I saw him in, I went "Ugh, this dude is on the cast now?" I have hope that the above is true and it is a four story arc. Personally, I hope he doesn't join the show. (This guy even gets to grab, hold and kiss my beautiful Stephanie...off with his head!)

If they need another player, get Thomas Lennon (from Reno 9/11) or Nick Offerman (playing a different role than his one episode appearance). This show needs a somewhat Ron Swanson character.

Pimento Returns to "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"
by Dan Snierson
Feb. 12, 2020

Adrian Pimento is passionate, perverted, volatile, unhinged, unpredictable, and demented.

He’s also… back. And weirder than ever. The former Nine-Nine detective makes a surprise return to the precinct in Thursday’s episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".

He fits right in with all the other off-beat characters. I thought he was funny on some of the previous episodes.

Yes, the last commenter is right. Adrian needs to appear more; the character complements the others well!
