View Full Version : Who will win the Super Bowl? opus 01-24-2016, 10:57 PM No sense waiting. Let's get on with the predicting. Wawwie 01-24-2016, 11:33 PM I adore Peyton Manning, but he will be up against a 27 year old. Cam probably has the advantage. EricIdlefan 01-25-2016, 12:43 AM Want the Broncos to win but it will be the Panthers Panthers 35 Broncos 21 TVFactFan 01-25-2016, 03:16 AM No sense waiting. Let's get on with the predicting. The mafia, refs, and NFL front office won't allow manning to lose his 3rd SB in a row ponytail 01-25-2016, 06:02 AM Since everyone was picking Carolina, I'll pick Denver. I too like Manning and I hope is still has it in him. Regulus 01-25-2016, 11:34 AM I'm rooting for Carolina, since this is their first time in the Super Bowl. :football: Bonniegirl 01-25-2016, 12:02 PM I'm rooting for Carolina, since this is their first time in the Super Bowl. :football: They were in the Super bowl before! Maybe 10 years ago or so? They played the Patriots and lost! :( bmasters9 01-25-2016, 12:06 PM They were in the Super bowl before! Maybe 10 years ago or so? They played the Patriots and lost! :( That they did, which is why I hope they do it for sure this time! Bonniegirl 01-25-2016, 12:19 PM IDK !I haven't voted yet! It's a tough call! I think in my head Panthers will win. In my heart I think the Broncos! I like Peyton, and his brother Eli like family! I came into it rooting for the Broncos after the Packers were out, but I do like Carolina too! Peyton being an old man might not get a chance to win another Super bowl. But the Panthers are really good ! IDK, all I ask for is a good game! OMG hope it's not a slam out situation like two years ago for either team! That was ridiculous!!!!!!!! opus 01-25-2016, 12:34 PM I voted Carolina. If the Broncos come to their senses and start Brock Osweiler I'm allowed to change. My hatred of all things Manning goes back to 1997. Long story. Mr. Television 01-25-2016, 12:37 PM I'll probably be for Denver but Carolina will win. So it's better for me to expect peyton to win so I can prepare myself ahead of time I'll make you a twenty dollar bet right now. Cam Newton and his Panthers are going to win. On a side note, I love Cam's yogurt commercials. Peyton does come off as goofy in his pizza commercials. Mr. Television 01-25-2016, 09:11 PM why denver? I'd like to see D-Ware get a SB ring. My Dad was an Archie Manning fan from his college football days, and than my brother from his N.O. Saints days! And than when the sons Peyton and Eli came on board in the NFL I became a Manning fan too! ;) It's a shame about their oldest brother Cooper! He played college football, than got a debilitating illness ,I forget the name, I think it's similar to Multiple Sclerosis or something like that! :( And it halted his football career! Sad huh? :( OMG could you imagine, if not for that, there would have been three Manning brothers in the NFL!!! ;) Nordy 01-25-2016, 10:00 PM Since Ron Rivera was on the 18-1 '85 Bears, I'm picking his team to also go 18-1 Go Panthers!! It's 1997, the Jets have the number 1 pick in the draft. Peyton Manning is a junior at Tennessee. If he comes out, the Jets take him. Instead, he goes back for his senior year, and the Colts take him no.1 the next year. Thus begins my life long vendetta of him, his family, and Papa John's. I will say this, I think the NFL got the matchup they wanted with this 50th Super Bowl, veteran QB Payton Manning vs. young upstart QB Cam Newton. It seems every Super Bowl game has to have a story behind it, Manning vs. Newton is the script this time. One thing I have noticed is that whatever team/city hosts the Super Bowl, that team has a bad year and usually misses the playoffs or loses in the playoffs. This year it's the 49ers, who usually have a good team and don't miss the playoffs too often. They will likely rebound next season. Whatever team hosts the Super Bowl, I think the NFL doesn't want that team to be in the Super Bowl because it would give them home field advantage. Next year, Houston gets the Super Bowl. So that means you can write off the Texans for next years Super Bowl. Sorry Texans fans, that's the price that's paid for hosting the Super Bowl. Your team can't play in it. opus 02-04-2016, 10:47 PM 207193 Torgo 02-05-2016, 12:07 PM 207193 Yep, that's why I don't get invited to any party involving sports. Bonniegirl 02-05-2016, 02:13 PM IDK who will win? The Panthers, who were dominant all season and only lost one game, played and acted like they didn't even want to be there. Now Peyton can retire as a champion, just like Elway did. How convenient is that. Have to give Denver's defense some credit though, they did play great and Denver had the best defense in the league this season. Defense usually wins championships. However, Carolina's offensive line should have been able to play better. Unlike Carolina, Denver as a franchise has past Super Bowl experience. The Panthers are young and inexperienced, they will probably use the loss as a learning experience and come back stronger next season. With a 13 year younger Andrew Luck there, it doesn't make any sense. Colts owner has talked to Manning and would like him to retire as a Colt. Story about it is on the NFL website, check it out. It's Manning's decision. He could just go ahead and retire now, or he could sign with the Colts to play one more year. In my opinion, Manning's playing days are probably over. The more likely scenario would be just a symbolic thing, a matter of formality, where Manning would sign a one day contract and then retire, as a Colt. sara 02-09-2016, 02:44 AM The mafia, refs, and NFL front office won't allow manning to lose his 3rd SB in a row According to that logic wouldn't the fix have been in for Jim Kelly to win one of his four SB tries. isiahthomas 03-10-2016, 03:46 PM I picked Carolina to win and I was disappointed. He acted like a sore loser and he should've stayed and talked to the media. I understand the media can ask dumb questions but the smart thing to do would be to stay and talk to them. I bet if Carolina had won, he would've talked to the media hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm glad Peyton Manning retired because it's time for him to leave and he's played long enough. He got 2 championships and he played 18 years. I'm surprised his brother Eli has 2 championships because Peyton is better than him LOL. |
