NBC and CBS are both poised to disrupt their Thursday primetime schedules this fall. According to The Wall Street Journal, there's talk of CBS and NBC each carrying five primetime Thursday NFL games (http://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/report-nfl-may-split-thursday-night-football-between-cbs-and-nbc.html), with the NFL Network carrying the remaining Thursday games. NBC already airs one primetime Thursday NFL game each year, on Thanksgiving night.

I won't doubt there'll be two games on Thursdays if this happens...

This reminds me somewhat of when NBC, then ABC, had Monday Night Baseball in the 70s, and there were several regional games going to different parts of the country.
