Rowan Blanchard, the 14-year-old star of the Disney Channel series “Girl Meets World (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/3753-gmw-in-the-media-girl-meets-media/page-2#entry1875545),” has come out as queer — and is hoping that the show can similarly embrace same-sex themes.

Speaking with a fan via Twitter on Friday (Jan 15), Blanchard writes: “It’s [very very very] important to me, being queer (http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2016/01/17/14-year-old-disney-star-identifies-as-queer-on-social-media/), that there is representation on our show.”

Blanchard went on to explain that such phrases as “gay” or straight” aren’t something she is looking to embrace. “Being queer to me just means not putting a label (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/979038-Disney-Channel-Star-Rowan-Blanchard-Kinda-Comes-Out-quot-I-Don-t-Wanna-Label-Myself-as-Straight-Gay-or-Whateva-quot) on sexuality – just existing,” she tweets.

“Girl Meets World,” currently beginning production on its third season for an intended spring 2016 airing, focuses on Riley Matthews (Blanchard), the daughter of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) from the 1993-2000 sitcom “Boy Meets World.” On the show, the character of Riley has just begun to explore the idea of teen love — getting a crush on Lucas (Peyton Meyer). Recently, Blanchard discussed her first-ever kissing scene, which she shared with Meyer –and which she explained as “weird.”

With such thoughts on the minds of “Girl Meets World” fans, the wise-beyond her-years Blanchard also penned a revealing essay this week about how women need to stop “apologizing for existing.” Now the actress — who began acting at age five and previously appeared in films like “The Back-Up Plan” and “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World,” seems determined to not only stop apologizing but also fully embrace herself.

Underneath Blanchard’s revelatory tweet, “Girl Meets World” fans replied with multiple words of encouragement for the actress — many encouraging Disney to pick up on the theme as “Girl Meets World” continues to develop Riley’s feelings of love in future seasons of the show. Two years ago, the Disney Channel featured its first gay characters with a pair of lesbian moms on a buzzed-about episode of “Good Luck Charlie.”

Seems like almost everyone in Hollywood is either queer, gay or a lesbian.

dear god

She seems to have a bad knack of vomiting back "social justice warrior" dogma/orthodoxy with no real understanding of issues (even though her passion for equality really seems to be out of a genuine concern for the world), and I think the writers are letting that bleed into the show.

^^^ Uh, if you are not willing to stop being the way that you are, why should Blackout or anyone else stop being the way that they are? You can't ask another person to do what you are not willing to do yourself.

God bless you and Blackout always!!!
