View Full Version : The Chiefs should be forced to move out of Kansas City also
irehtman 01-16-2016, 09:49 AM Since the Rams were forced to move out Saint Louis and head back to Los Angeles, then that means the Chiefs should do the same thing move out of Kansas City and move to somewhere in the west also.
The reason why is because the Kansas City Chiefs cannot both be the only NFL West team to be in isolation and away from both Pacific and Mountain time zones at all, which is kind of too imbalanced, no offense, IMO.
irehtman 01-16-2016, 02:21 PM The four teams in the AFC West have been together in the same division since the AFL was founded in 1960. They seem to have made it work.
Except the travel distance between Kansas City and the west coast/mountain area might grow too expensive besides too far. Even if the four AFC west team have been together experiencing lay, then I have feeling that the entire Missouri state may have to completely retire from the NFL anytime ASAP. Of course, Chiefs name will stay permanent, along the way.

I agree, I'd approve that move.
One place the Chiefs are not going. SB 50.

The Chiefs still have to move out, unfortunately, since the Rams were forced to move back to LA.
1960'sTVfan 01-18-2016, 12:56 AM The Rams weren't forced out of St. Louis, they WANTED out. They submitted request to the league for the move to LA, and the request was granted. I doubt if the Chiefs are moving anytime soon, they're staying in Kansas City. The Cardinals should leave Arizona and move back to St. Louis. That would make sense, but I doubt that will happen either.

I see nothing online about the Chiefs even considering leaving KC, so if you can clarify or provide a link, thanks.

The team players and coaches didn't wanted out, it was some of the general managers and some of the owners that wanted out. Probably the entire California's NFL financial economy may have gone down too quick due to saving more money focusing on that Super Bowl L in San Francisco.
You'll never know that there is no doubt about the Chiefs moving out Kansas City because of this far and expensive distance between Kansas City and both mountain and pacific coast times. Either that, Saint Louis may need to insist the Raiders to move in instead without a doubt.

Not right now, but later on, there could be a chance and I'll let you know.
Dianne3 01-19-2016, 05:42 PM 1. Wasn't KC in isolation in their time zone before?
2. Football only plays once a week (okay twice a week if they play Thursday) so I don't see the travel as big a deal for KC
3. I don't agree with posters actively saying one team eg. Arizona should leave a city. I don't wish for any city to lose their team.
4. Dallas doesn't belong in the East, but apparently long ago their then owner (?) wanted them there because that's where the media attention is.
