If this is the final season, Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden says creator Hart Hanson and his team “will be given plenty of time to start writing a meaningful ending to the show. They have such a loyal fanbase, and those fans deserve a satisfying ending.” PLUS: Fox insists Bones’ legal issues won’t affect its future (http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/15/bones-season-12-fox), and what about the future of Sleepy Hollow (http://www.eonline.com/news/731330/is-fox-canceling-bones-and-sleepy-hollow)?

i like Bones but it has been on for too long; they have already recycled too many plots and story lines, too many characters have broken-up and gotten back together multiple times, they have killed off major characters, had weddings, added new babies - there just aren't any more cliches they can try to drag it out any more.

unless they plan to bring in Cousin Oliver.

unless they plan to bring in Cousin Oliver.

I'm assuming you missed the Xmas episode when they brought in Zooey Deschanel as Brennan's cousin? Seriously, it made me wish cousin Oliver had shown up instead.

I honestly can't figure out why Bones was renewed last year, but Hart Hanson's other show, "Backstrom" was cancelled. Bones has been stale for years. The fact that they have not only done one, but two time jumps, shows that the writer's are grasping at straws. They need to write an epic finale and let this once solid show ride out into the sunset with some dignity.

good call

I thought Backstrom was great too - I don't know why FOX didn't give it more of a chance to succeed
