"Better Call Saul": Ed Begley Jr. Joins Season 2 Cast

Prepare to meet a big dog named Clifford.

Season 2 of "Better Call Saul" will introduce a key character with that name, and the show’s producers looked "Elsewhere" to find another comedic actor who also can go dramatic for the role: Ed Begley Jr.

Begley will make his first appearance in the season 2 premiere on Feb. 15th.





The "St. Elsewhere" alum, six-time Emmy nominee and veteran film actor will guest-star in multiple episodes of the "Breaking Bad" prequel.

The drama that chronicles how Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) became shady lawyer Saul Goodman will feature Begley as an “authority figure who has the power to make many of Jimmy’s dreams come true, if Jimmy can only play ball,” "Saul" co-creator Peter Gould tells EW.

“When you first meet him, he is highly avuncular and somebody whom you’d like to spend time with and is a very sweet guy. But you wouldn’t want to cross him, let’s put it that way.”
