Ted Danson Leaving "CSI: Cyber" after 1 Season

Ted Danson will be leaving "CSI: Cyber" after just one season, CBS Entertainment chairman Glenn Geller has confirmed. He has signed on to star in "Parks & Recreation" co-creator Mike Schur's new NBC comedy "Good Place" with Kristen Bell.

Danson was a series regular on the original "CSI" from Season 12 until its conclusion last year, and joined the cast of spinoff "CSI: Cyber" in Season 2.



He only signed a one-year contract, and is leaving to return to an NBC comedy, where he has had great success previously, starring on NBC's "Cheers" from 1982 to 1993.

He also recently appeared on acclaimed FX series "Fargo".
