I just saw part of this show, and I wonder if anyone who saw it back in January--when it apparently first aired--knows if Freddie was on the list from number 6 to 15? I checked their website and they do not show the list there. I did see two brief flashes of the famous photo of him sitting on Johnny Carson's couch on his first appearance during the part re Carson, but Freddie was of course not in the top part of the list :( since those of us who would rate him number one were not asked!

Hi Mariposa. Yes, I saw this special on Biography and told Anna about it. No, sadly, Freddie did not make the list. I saw the pictures you mentioned from the Tonight show and was grateful for that. It is a terrible oversight IMHO.

I didn't see the show but it seems like such a shame that he wasn't on the list given the fact that he was the first comedian to be called to Johnny's couch and he was a Latino comedian...which did pave the way for others to follow. I know that Paul Rodriguez did hold Freddie in the highest regard as a comedian. What a pity that others can't see the magnitude of his contributions...
Just out of idle curiosity...was Lenny Bruce on the list?

That is a bad over site. It makes me wonder if those people even remember Freddie. Poor Guy.

I am in total agreement with you. He was wonderful and one of the greatest. No, Lenny Bruce did not make the list, but they did say they were recognizing television comics.

FREDDIE FOREVER!!

If Freddie wasn't a television comic then I don't know what is!
Biography made a huge blunder with this one.

CLF, You`re not going to believe this, but on Biograghy they did a bio on Drew Carey and said he was the first comic to be asked by Carson to come over and sit on the couch. I hit the ceiling!:angryfire
