If someone here hits it, we should all split it. Unless I win it. Then I should probably just keep the whole thing.

I have only seen it at $700m. But that was this morning here on the West Coast. Has it climbed? I would imagine it will by tomorrow's drawing.

If I win, I plan to help SO many people and animals. I only plan on keeping just enough to live in comfort for the rest of the days of my life. I will give the rest of it away to mostly children's charities and research. And, I say this as a promise to everyone, myself, and God.

Estimated jackpot is $1.4 BILLION for the Wednesday drawing. Or a lump sum of $806 million (before taxes).

I bought one ticket for the Saturday game. Will probably buy two for the next drawing.

Winning that high of a jackpot would really do something. I would have pizza delivered everyday!

Well winning a GIGANTIC amount of money like this certainly has its upside. But If I won I'd want to be anonymous. Otherwise, tons of people will be coming out of the woodwork to hound you, and your relationship to those close to you will likely be in upheaval. If I won the jackpot, I'd do what tlc38tlc38 would- I'd keep maybe $20-30 million for myself and wisely give away the balance; starting with organizations that build special homes for disabled veterans, training therapy dogs, St. Jude's Hospital- just for starters. And do something to help the homeless.

But actually, I'd think the next best prize would be the one I'd end up happiest with. The million dollar one. I doubt those get publicized and I could live off this for the rest of my life. And still help others.

But LOL, I'm not holding my breath!

When I found out yesterday that it climbed to 900m, I thought, wow, what's a person gonna do with THAT kind of loot??

But when I found out last night that it hit 1.3b, I was thinking:

All the employees at the Volusia Mall Food Court have formed a "Lottery Club", since nobody won last night I'm certain we'll chip in again (There are 31 of us) for the next drawing. I'm also buying an individual ticket. I've heard if you go for the "Lump Sum" option you'd win about $300,000,000.00 AFTER Taxes. :D

I broke down and bought 5 power ball plus the power play. Nothing. I can't believe with all of those tickets being sold not one with all 6 numbers. I would be thrilled with just getting 5 numbers. Good luck to those playing. Me, I'm sticking with our local "The Pick' lottery, it's at 3 million.

I've spent $7.00 for all three lotteries in my area (Florida, Megabucks & Powerball. One ticket each and the "Lottery Club" where I work.

Has anyone noticed the increase in the numbers you select has gone from 49 numbers to 69 numbers, and the "Powerball" went from 7 numbers to 26 numbers? This results in increased odds and bigger jackpots. Mark my words, jackpots like this will common from this point on. I wouldn't be surprised to see a $1,000,000,000,000.00 Jackpot someday!

It doesn't seem to be a greedy crowd around here. I mean, some of you would kill to get your favorite show on a network or released on DVD, but overall, not that greedy.

But unfortunately you'd need roughly $600 million (and the time!) to buy every combo. And if you had that kind of money, you wouldn't need to play in the first place LOL.

Correct. Also the point that if even one other ticket splits it with you, you lose money.

ANYBODY WIN!!!!

The winning Powerball numbers were drawn Wednesday night:
8, 27, 34, 4, 19 and the Powerball of 10.

The jackpot, which reached record levels after 20 drawings without a winner, was estimated to be nearly $1.6 billion.

California's taxes are as high as 13.3%. However, the winner will not be taxed, because California does not tax Lottery Winnings.
