:talk: :confused: Were there any kidnap cases that involved hostages?

There was the Mississippi case of Annie Laurie Hearin. She was kidnapped in 1988. Her multimillionaire husband, Robert Hearin Sr., was subsequently given a ransom note, demanding that he pay money to those he supposedly wronged. (Hearin was president and chief executive officer of Mississippi Valley Gas Co.)

The segment aired in November of 1988, four months after Mrs. Hearin was kidnapped. Eventually, a Florida attorney was arrested and sent to prison for his role in the crime, but that's as far as it goes. Sadly, Robert Hearin died of a heart attack in 1990 without ever knowing the actual fate of his wife. But I later heard that Annie Hearin has been declared "legally dead" even though she has never been found. :(
