I was wondering, are there any specific instances you can cite where Fonzie says something problematic (ie. racist, sexist, homophobic)? Of course, I am aware he is practically an angel.
At school, I have an to construct an argument on why he would not make a good president. (We have this assignment where each AP government class comes up with two candidates competing against each other, and the group whose candidate wins after voting gets extra credit). I know this probably sounds like quite odd assignment. Please do not just tell me to go do my own homework, I just know there's no way I could know as much as someone who has seen the 250 episodes, and I could not find much online. I'm just asking if you could think of any specific instances where he said something that could be used against him in a presidential campaign. I was thinking perhaps something from his gang days. If you could give me your input it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

there was the episode where one of his gang friend's girlfriend comes into Arnolds looking for him - and he says his name is Potsie Weber as soon as he sees that she's pregnant

Other than being sworn into office in his leather jacket and putting his thumb thumb on the bible I can't think of a thing.
In one early episode he was the only person for Eisenhower when everyone else was for Stevenson, making him one of the few positive conservative characters in TV history. That's a great reason for him to be president right there.

I think that it's a very odd assignment, but here are my guesses.
He's not married. He's not a family man.
He's not very religious; if at all.
He's too young (Under 35) and may lack wisdom.
He may flip-flop on issues to stay popular.
He probably lacks experience in working in the public sector.
Was the Fonz a college graduate? Post secondary education is preferred.
Good luck!

whoa - hold on a minute there,
The Fonz may not be married, but he certainly changed his ways in respect to his relationships with women; he was engaged to Ashley and had more longer-term relationships towards the end of the series
the Fonz WAS religious - he got baptized, talked to Father Delveccio often, and in many episodes was seen talking privately to God
as for his age - I guess it depends on when we are talking here, if he was about thirty in 1960 he'd be in his eighties by now
the Fonz doesn't do things to be popular - the Fonz does things and they become popular. If anything the Fonz is a little on the stubborn side, and admitting he is wr-wr-wr-wrong is definitely one of his faults, but he always does the right thing in the end.
The Fonz was a business owner for many years, in fact owning multiple businesses, he was active in the Leopard Lodge and local politics and was a member of the local business association
The Fonz did drop out of high school, but went back to night school to get his GED, and then eventually earned his teaching certificate to become a highschool teacher, and then Dean of Boys at George S. Patton's Vocational High School. I don't know what sort of degree that requires, but it does show that he turned it around and was capable of bettering himself and others.
I think if there is anything that makes the Fonz look bad, it was his gang affiliation and the things he did before he met Richie Cunningham and he was still young.
