From Antenna TV's website:

In commemoration of Pat Harrington, Jr., who passed away yesterday, Antenna TV is airing 18 episodes of One Day at a Time centered on his character, Dwayne F. Schneider, starting at 1p ET on Saturday, January 9th.
Thank you for all the laughs, Mr. Harrington.

Knowing Antenna TV, they will probably crunch the credits. What a disgrace to Pat Harrington's legacy.

It's a very nice gesture. I certainly wouldn't have expected a nine-hour marathon. Can't you give the credit crunching complaints a rest every once in a while? I mean, it's not like any of Harrington's moments on the show are actually being interfered with.

Yes, I agree with this.

However a legitimate complaint might be that they put in the Julie's Job episode in on a Harrington tribute when he had a minimal part in it.

As far I can see from opus's list they are not going to put in the episodes where Schneider's camper is blown up which is perhaps one of his finest moments.

Still, a nine hour tribute is a very nice honor and if Bonnie passed while Antenna TV ran the show she would have no doubt gotten the same. I guess she did with the Mother's Day tribute last year. They also gave Sherman Hemsley a nice tribute showing all of his All In The Family episodes.

I'm watching it with a tear in my eye!! For the last couple of days watching Antenna and Pat's picture coming up " In Memorium, Pat Harrington 1929-1916" I've teared up!! Where have the years gone? My Father is roughly the same age as Pat.( 86 in May) ! I remember being Julie and Barbara's age ( younger even)and my Dad being Schneider's age, 40's,early 50's ,when the show ran!!!!

But back to the Marathon. They are putting on good eps. IMO!!! Julie's job ,I guess that was because Schneider had recommended her for the job? Even though he wasn't in the ep. much! The one on now is a good one. Schneider proposing to Ginny at his party. I always liked that one! Big ole' Beer belly dancing!!! LOL!

Oh and so far, no credit crunch!!!!

I just got home, so I plan to jump back and forth now between this and the NFL payoffs. (Football has so many commercials I bet I can almost get in full episodes).

He had wonderful chemistry with Michael Lembeck, both similar types in terms of charisma and dark haired beauty.

How Schneider with his dark hair, sired that Ed Begley Jr. lookalike is beyond me. His ex wife must have been Swedish or something.

Why wasn't Dwayne upset that his ex kept his son from him? Why didn't they bring that good looking guy back again with some grandchildren for Dwayne, perhaps?

Plop Pickle Plunk in the marathon?

Somebody must be asleep at the switch! Not on the marathon's schedule.

Although it does feature his funny turn as a monkey.

Barbara is about to electrocute Dwayne and I will soon have completed the 18 mostly Dwaynecentric episodes.

Anybody else here watching the whole marathon?

That was a strange inclusion, but they had a day, not weeks, to make the picks and put it together, so I'll give them a pass.

As I noted above, I wasn't home till about 4, but I did keep my promise to go back and forth for 6 hours. That last ep goes to a whole different level now:(

It was on here all day on one of our TV's ! I didn't sit and watch all of them though! I sat and watched Julie's job and Schneider loves Ginny! Than I watched from 2:30-4:00 PST and the last one at 6:30! Can you guess why I watched those 5? Wasn't it eerie watching that last ep. where Schneider was describing the afterlife right after he just recently passed away in real life? I was getting chills!
