Since 2008 or so, I have been looking for the Color Honeymooners sketches that haven't been released. Unlike the hour long sketches, these 7 or 8 of them are 15 minutes long and I got told that one of the reasons why they won't get released is due to $$$.

I understand that. But, I have done tape trades in which some of the material is unavailable on the home videotape market. For example, I have the Honeymooners sketch entitled "TV Game of The Week." That sketch until late 2011 wasn't available on the tape trading circuit. I got told from other collectors that they think that the short sketches will find their way on the tape trading circuit in due time but I have my doubts.

I did manage to buy a rare VHS tape of the Jackie Gleason Show from the 60s on Ebay that according to the seller had two Color Honeymooners episodes (he never specified which) with the original commercials but I found out that the tape didn't have what I wanted.

I have done three tape trades with people who claimed that they had the sketches (one via Ioffer) and I got burned on the trades. The last one was really a doozy considerating he kept prolonging his half and because he only lives 2 1/2 hours away from me. (I live in Bonita Springs, Florida. He lives in the Tampa region.)

I contacted Jackie Gleason's daughter and she says that CBS does have the short sketches and not Jackie Gleason Enterprises. CBS said that they didn't have them. Also, I contacted MPI home video and they have no plans on releasing any Color Honeymooners footage in the future.

I even have help from my sister (who is anything BUT a Honeymooners fan. She volunteered to help BTW.) The only place I know that I think MAY have them is the Paley Center of The Media in New York City.

Although I acquired the audio of some of the sketches some time ago, I am still looking for these sketches. Searching on the Internet for these is tough. I don't know what I should do. Should I continue to search or should I wait until a company releases them?
