Every year many shows get moved around the schedule. What are some shows that never moved and stayed in the same timeslot their entire run? To qualify for this thread the show must have lasted at least four seasons.

NCIS- currently in its 13th season Tuesdays at 8:00
Castle- currently in its 8th season Mondays at 10:00
The Waltons aired 9 seasons Thursdays at 8:00.
ER aired 15 seasons Thursdays at 10:00.

I think this would have applied to Happy Days (which aired on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM for most of its run) if it hadn't been bumped to 8:30 PM in favor of the infamous Just Our Luck, and later, Foul-Ups, Bleeps & Blunders, during its 11th and final season (1983-84).

And of course, Lassie (CBS 1954 - 1972 Sunday evenings 7:00PM), the CBS affiliate in my area (WJBK - Detroit, Michigan) ran the syndicated episodes (That's 1972-1973 for those of you in Rio Linda!:D ) on the same time slot (7:00 PM Sunday evenings) as well.

Can this thread only apply to shows that are no longer active? I mean, with current veteran shows that have been in the exact same timeslot since their beginning, there's always the possibility that, for their next season, they may get moved to a different timeslot to make room for either a new show or another current show.

Well, NCIS just blew its chance of being an example of its trope, because CBS's Fall 2021 schedule has it moving to Mondays at 9 to make room for an all-FBI night on Tuesdays.

It's really becoming harder and harder for a show to maintain the same timeslot from start to finish.:(

It's really becoming harder and harder for a show to maintain the same timeslot from start to finish.:(I was shocked when I saw NCIS was moving to Mondays, had assumed FBI proper would be All Rise's replacement with NCIS: Hawaii airing Tuesdays at 9:00. They were misleading about their plans earlier, FBI: International was originally reported it would be a midseason launch, not fall. As for NCIS, I am very angry with them getting rid of the best part of the show Emily Wickersham. That combined with awful Wilmer Valderrama still being on it instead of her has led me to drop NCIS for good. Only times I will come back is if Emily guest stars and maybe for the series finale. Odds are it just has one more season with Mark Harmon only wanting to do part time now.

Odds are it just has one more season with Mark Harmon only wanting to do part time now. This news means Mark Harmon will barely be on the show at all next season, I had assumed he would at least still be in 70-75% of the episodes. Attempting to replace him with Gary Cole will not go over well.

Blue Bloods is now the Energizer Bunny of CBS with NCIS moving. The upcoming season 12 will continue its Fridays at 10:00 uninterrupted slot. A few new episodes aired on a special night of Wednesday in season 1, but that was never its regular night. Fake MacGyver was just cancelled, odds seem good with its syndication success Blue Bloods will also outlast fake Magnum as well. Unlike Mark Harmon, Tom Selleck has not expressed any desire to leave Blue Bloods.
