For me its not that I get sick of them. If I watch too much of 1 Tv Show, i will get sick of it, and won't watch it again for a couple of weeks. Then I'll watch it again and so forth. It's a vicious cycle.

If I get "Burned out" of watching a show I'll put it to rest for a while, leaving a bookmark so I know where I left off.
