There was "Bloopers and Practical Jokes," and also "Punk'd" and I think a few others.

I am wondering if anyone recall the name of one in which there was a particularly funny joke (IMO) in which a scantily-clad female dancer was put into a large cake and made to think that she would emerge in a room full of men who wanted to see her dance, but when she emerged from the cake and said "Surprise" the surprise was on her when the room was filled with nuns and priests ( or actors dressed like nuns and priests).

If anyone recall the name of the TV show or anyone know how it might be found on YouTube or anywhere in the internet?

Punk'd is a good example. Just like Candid Camera, without Allan Funt

There was the Fox series Totally Hidden Video that was hosted by Steve Skrovan, who later became a writer for Everybody Loves Raymond. Candid Camera creator Allen Funt sued the production company for copying his show.

There's TruTV's The Carbonaro Effect.

It's basically hidden camera stuff, but with Michael Carbonaro, who's a magician/illusionist, but in the episodes he's usually pretending to be a cashier at a retail store or some other employee at other types of businesses. The twist with this show is that he does all these illusions and convinces the unsuspecting customer(s) that a product can do all of these crazy things which are in fact impossible. But it is very entertaining to watch, just to see if you can figure out he's accomplishing a particular trick, which I usually can't.
