Dear Charles,

I'm sorry to say that in this case the rumor is true, my father passed away on Dec. 25. He was hospitalized for several days in the middle of December, but was able to return home and was sleeping peacefully when he passed. It's nice to know that he had such devoted fans.

He was a great character actor. He was in the last few years of All In the Family and in the whole Archie Bunkers Place series. I also recall him as Principal Haley in Happy Days when Fonzie graduated with the class. Rest In Peace.
