Well...2016 is about to begin and tonight I'll be celebrating alone, so that means 2016 I'll be lonely and alone!

I may not even see the ball drop or stay up until midnight! ohno:ohno:ohno:

I'm in the same situation, I live alone too. But it's not really that bad if you look at it from a positive aspect. Sure, I'd rather be with someone, but living alone has it's advantages, I'm getting used to it. I have a pet dog, a little Yorkshire Terrier, which provides some company. I'll bring in the new year this evening watching the festivities on TV.

Happy New Year to everyone! :D

As always, Kiribati is the first to ring in the new year. And right now, it is 2016 there.

In some way mine is going to involve the NCAA football semi-finals (which really should be on New Years Day).

I already feel that 2016 is going to be a dud...

My Church STILL needs me to do something like open-up the doors or bring in the bulletins!

I'm about to quit my job without having a lead-in job!

We are just having some beers, and gonna watch Chiller TV horror movie marathon, and if anyone from our families or friends want to stop in, that is fine .But we will be asleep way before midnight I'm sure! Well trying to sleep.in bed trying to drown out noise from younger people in our area partying!!! As I'm getting older I'm not a big fan of this night anymore!!! :(

OH Nuts!

I'm going to spend it relatively quietly at a smaller party...but still festively bringing the New Year in.

I will be alone as usual. Now I live with my mother and she will be with me tonight but I am tired of not having anybody to kiss on New Year's. Or Valentines Day....

So I did the "make out with myself" pose...again once I saw the ball drop!

2016 isn't going well...

The day didn't even start yet but I am with you. I won't make any resolutions until it happens. I need to get a job. But I won't wish for it or get my hopes up until I have the job.

You guys need to not even think of it being New Years eve or now New years day! It's making you depressed! Just go about it like it's any other day and you will feel better!!! That's what I do! I'm not a New years eve type person, either is my husband! and as soon as we decided we weren't going to make a big deal of it anymore it seemed better!!! It's just January 1,a day like any other day!! I haven't watched that stupid ball drop and do the countdown in years!! We always totally watch a channel that doesn't have that on, if we are even up at midnight!

Kissing has never appealed to me. Swapping spit and germs with someone. YUCK! DISGUSTING!! :p

Sex however, is a completely different matter. With the right person, it can be quite enjoyable.

I had a good New Years Eve. Made a pizza for dinner, listened to some music on the stereo, watched some TV, brought the new year in at midnight. Overall it was a good evening, no complaint from me! :D

While living alone isn't fun, I try to make the best of it. As the saying goes: When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. I have a nice house, I can afford to stay home currently and don't have to work, I have much to be grateful for.

My adult kids (who don't live here anymore) always have a party -- AT OUR HOUSE--I guess because we have been doing New Years Eve Party's at my house now for 30 years. Plus my wife loves spenting time with the kids and grandkids any chance she gets.

I'm glad my house is big enough to accommodate,(I think)

We had about 15 adults and 9 grandkids and a few of my kids' friends and thier family(who have called my wife and I "MOM and DAD" for many years)---for the record I have 6 kids and 22 grandkids, but not all of them showed up... in addition about 6 other kids that call us "MOM and DAD"

I locked myself in a den upstairs to get away from the noise around 4:00PM EST, and watched the football games and "Twilight Zone" show until about 3:00AM EST....so I guess I spent NEW YEARS EVE all by myself with a house full of company.  :happyface

My wife did join me at about 11:59 for a "midnight kiss," but then returned to the party!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I had a nice quiet New Years Day: took a little walk in Central Park, did some food shopping, got home and watched some WINGS eps and them met some close friends for a light dinner. Now back to my WINGathon!

Yeah, it was obvious I'd have to do that at some point, even if no one else knows what the heck we're talking about.

The next to last one I watched was the S2 ep where Joe's hypertension got worse and the doctor banned him from flying. But after hearing Adam talk about the "This Old House" S3 ep, I was naughty and jumped ahead to watch it.

Now I get what you and the others mean about watching in sequence. Antonio appears in this ep and I missed his "introduction". Back to S2 now!

I had a date with a bottle of wine and Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve. Th bottle of wine was the best midnight kiss I had in many a New Years. :)
