I watched the show for the first time- the Xmas eps on Antenna TV-and flipped. I really LOVE this show and ALL the characters-and what characters some of them are LOL. Even though I vowed never to buy another complete series-as I already have something like 900 DVDs and live in a small apartment, I'm seriously considering getting this one. I am smitten! And odd too, as I never really got into Cheers or Frasier. But first I may check my local library for sets (I really shouldn't buy any more-but believe me I'm tempted). I was hoping Antenna would air it in 2016 but unf. it isn't. Who else really loves the show?

At the time I first fell in love with "Wings", I didn't like "Cheers" or "Frasier." I've since come to like "Cheers" in recent years though.

Lowell is my main favorite character but every character impresses me at some point. I always crack up at Brian and even Joe, who's the more serious of the two Hackett brothers is hilarious.

Glad to see there's a new fan of the show. And THIS is why channels need to open their horizons and air shows that aren't on other channels or shows that have been rerun to death. Because of Antenna showing the "Wings" Christmas episodes, the show has a new fan. :)

For some reason I'm taking a particular liking to Fay, with Antonio 2nd. But, really I like them all. Probably horndog Brian is 3rd.

I'm hoping the library will have some seasons open for loaning.

Welcome to the club OH Nuts! I love Wings too. Brian is my favorite, but I love everybody. Hulu has all the episodes, but you have to have a subscription to see them.

P.S. Did Antenna show the episode where Brian thinks Fay is a serial killer?
That's one of my favorite episodes.

I don't think so. And yes I love Wings too! My favorite character has to be Brian Hackett. But
Like everyone else, I love all the characters about the same!

I reserved S#'s 1,2 & 5 at my library and am picking them up tonight and plan to have a very major WING-ding. Can't wait to get started. I hope that ep with Fay as a suspected serial killer in in one of these.

I know the ep where Fay sends George off to sea in a DustBuster is in S1.

If I were you, I'd watch from the beginning. You get to watch how the characters grown throughout the years without missing out on something important.

Super! I hope you like it too. I started watching WINGS when I was in high school. I was in an after-school service program and the leader told me about it. I had never heard of it. I saw it and was hooked. I think it influenced my sense of humor from then on.

Outside of that one great ep gidgetgrape told me about, I plan to watch from the beginning.

Re Frasier and Cheers, neither really rings my bell; I certainly don't hate them but would not go out of my way to watch them. But when I do watch them, I would say I found the viewing pleasant--Wings on the other hand, makes me flip!

Glad you're "on board" (pun intended), OH Nuts!

I rarely missed Wings back when it was airing in primetime. One of my favorite series of the era. I would watch Cheers as the lead-in, but Wings was more "must see" for me.

Originally I was attracted to the series by Crystal Bernard and Amy Yasbeck, but soon I was hooked. I liked all the characters. Roy had me laughing HARD at times!

Wait until you get to the fire episode. I won't say any more, but it's one of many memorable ones.

If the Fire ep is in S1-2-3 or 5 I'll watch it next. Then I'll start from the beginning.

BTW gidgetgrape, I just watched "Murder She Roast" and it was hilarious.
Loved all of the ep. but esp. the ending. This really is a funny and endearing show.

My favorite episode is "This Old House". It's both funny and sweet and we get to see Joe, Brian and Helen as kids. It's in season three, which along with four are the prime seasons I feel.

Brian Hackett: It's scary to think that we live in a country where anybody can walk up to a counter and purchase meat.

In addition to being sex crazed, there are times Brian can be just plain old crazy. But he's such a rascal you can't help liking him...most of the time lol.

I enjoyed this episode too! My favorite episode is the series finale. The way the writers tied all loose ends together was excellent!

Would I be pulling a Brian if I jump ahead to this ep?You've got me intrigued.
With a few exceptions I'm going through these in order, but this ep just sounds too good to wait for!

Once you start watching Wings you will get hooked to it to the point of where you will get obsessed to it. The characters are all likeable and their interactions are very amusing. Timing and delivery of lines outstanding!

No, I don't think it would matter if you jumped ahead to it. Although, you're about to start season three anyways.

Well I'm now 3/4 of the way through S4. Just lapping up every single ep! You know a show is a great show when someone asks you what are your favorite eps, and even when trying to narrow it down, you still come up with 1/3 of the eps. And the worst of the other 2/3 s was still very good.

You can't really pick the best your fav or worst episode of Wings. Every season have it's own scenario which is refreshing. New characters comes and go and had great guest. The ensemble cast were so good that they can saved a silly plot with their antics and humor that's why Wings is so fun to watch, gives a lot of laughs worth spending your time viewing at night. You won't get tired rewatching it all over again when your done watching all the episodes.

I can't argue with any of this. It truly is a great show. Only one small point, it is possible to pick favorite eps, JUSTVERY HARD!

All episodes of the show were AT LEAST mildly amusing. But in my opinion, the "worst" episode would be the vacuum cleaner episode in season 8

I'm not up to S8, but one ep that wasn't up to usual was the last ep of S2-where Helen and Joe had that great big fight.

Yes, please do, lol. I feel the show had sort of a slow start. In other words, I didn't care much for the first season and even some of season two doesn't interest me but OH Nuts! on here seemed to enjoy both seasons and obviously it's all in the eye of the beholder. To me season three is when the show really takes off.

Yes the show definitely gets better in season two. I don't think the first season is all that good. I think seasons three and four are the high point for the show but it remains good until the last season, which I'm not a huge fan of. I love the finale though.

The First season wasn't all that bad. Take Seinfeld as an example. It also had only a 5 episode first season and was pretty good. The first seasons of these shows were sort of a testing grounds as to whether they were going to succeed or not
