gotchrislady 04-11-2002, 07:48 PM :talk: I met Chris Knight in February, 2002, heard him speak on ADHD. He gave a very moving speech which brough tears to some at the end. :(
;)
:talk: Previous to knowing he was going to be in TEXAS, we asked Chris if we could meet with him after his speech as we are a part of his unofficial web site. He very happily agreed.:happyface
I watched the Bradys since the 70's, CHRIS is my favorite. He is the warmest and most caring person. He's also very funny!!
 We spent at least fifteen minutes talking with Chris. He took time out of his busy schedule just for us that night. That was my dream come true. :D
He's a very down to earth guy, and my friend and I really enjoyed our time with CHRIS. Right down to the hug and kiss:happyface I received at the end of the night!! See our site for photos!!

TripperFan 06-27-2005, 10:16 AM Ann sounds a lot like Francis Bavier (sp?) who played Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show. A very sweet character on screen, but a nasty b*tch in real life. It does kill the character image for you when they do that doesn't it.
You can tell Chris Knight is a great, down to earth guy. It came across very clearly on The Surreal Life last season. I always like him the best and it brought back the huge crush I had on him!
ThomasE 06-27-2005, 12:06 PM Maureen was in my mother's beauty salon 2 years back to ger her hair done. She was nice.

They must. I know they say that's why they like filming here (Toronto). They're pretty much left alone believe it or not. You might get the odd fan, but never a mob or never are they bothered while eating. When Russell Crowe was here filming Cinderella Man, he bicycled the streets daily (I guess it was part of his workout for the film) and was left alone.
I know I've seen stars and as much as I'd like to get their autograph or talk to them, I just never have approached one.
missjohnR 06-28-2005, 11:17 AM I met Barry Williams when he was doing off-boardway to the Sound of Music. He was very nice and took the time to sign autographs and talk to people who are big fans of the show. He was at the theater until 4am talking and signing autographs.
jehobden 06-29-2005, 08:59 PM I met Barry Williams back in 1995 at a community college in Dallas, TX, when he was touring college campuses w/ a one-man nostalgia show for The Brady Bunch, including clips from the series. He appeared dressed as Johnny Bravo at the end and invited some audience members up on stage to meet him. After the show, he remained to give autographs and meet fans and have pictures taken w/ them, so I had him sign my (previously bought) copy of "Growing Up Brady", since I figured if he signed the t-shirt I'd just bought, the signature would wash off the shirt after I'd worn and washed it. I also shook his hand and posed for a picture w/ him and a woman from my church Bible study class who just happened to be there w/ her mother that night.

I have to admit, I am in total shock and dismay over reading this, because I am quite fixated on Ann at the moment and am actually planning on sensing her a letter! Up until now, I have never read anything particularly negative about her (unless you count the fact that she's reportedly a homosexual who represses that within herself, because she thinks that life is wrong). In fact, up until now, all I've read have been pleasant stories about her and how warm and sweet she is, though peculiar. I'm serious! EVERYONE has said how nice she is! They say she's odd but nice.
Well, I can see the odd part. I mean, she says she's not good with kids, she's never been married, and she's indicated that she feels uncomfortable on occasion, when fans want to hug her (I found this out by watching her interview with the TV archive people, which can be found on YouTube). And, yes, to the average gregarious, child-rearing person, that would seem odd. I have most of that in common with her, and even I know it's odd! But, let's not forget that she lives a rather odd life, compared to most of us, in the sense that she sold her house ans started living with a conservative bishop and his family. I mean, how many people can say they left showbiz to live in a religious commune?!
I get the impression that Ann lives a very solitary life, aside from when an activity requires her presence. But, she has also become something of a Biblical scholar, it seems, because she studied at a Bible-minister-training school at some point during these years and has visited several churches giving lectures and inspirational speeches. So, for someone so morally-aware, with a desire to do good and right (however flawed her ideas of "right" may be), I find it crazy that Ann would be so rude! Wow! All I can say is, I hope she was just having an extra-bad day and that this story is not reflective of the normal her.
Would you mind telling me, when did that meeting take place/what year? Also, where did it take place? Was it a convention or something? Or, did you just happen to bump into her, so-to-speak, out of the blue?
GrtGzu 03-22-2013, 11:51 AM I met Barry Williams when I worked at an "old time photo shop" back in 1981 in Akron, OH - you know the place where you can dress up as an "old west" character...He stopped by because he was doing a show somewhere that evening - we got him dressed in a costume (I forget which one it was) and took his picture...He was real nice and friendly...First time I saw an actor up close like that...
