The guy might have a nice collection, but I never liked 8 track tapes. Cassettes and vinyl records are better.

8-track is awful. Horrible sound quality, and the tapes wear out fast.
I think best analog is still reel-to-reel, as far as sound quality.

That's why I never liked 8 track. Poor tape quality and poor sound quality.
My dad liked reel to reel, I remember he had a reel to reel tape recorder as part of his stereo equipment. I never liked that format, although I'll agree the sound reproduction is pretty good. Cassettes are easier to use, sound reproduction is comparable with reel to reel as long as you buy good quality tapes.

Cassettes and vinyl records are better.Yes but if you like ANALOG,you will get a 70s or before album ON 8 TRACK in 100% analog (On cassette it will probably be digital trash)
8 tracks came out BEFORE THAT GARBAGE BEGAN!!!!!! (Thankfully)
