Okay...I have a new dilemma...

My sister and her family doesn't do the whole Santa Claus thing and I ask...why?

My dad also wants to encourage her to come to Christmas Eve Service with her family (my brother-in-law is agnostic, so how can we pry him to go)?

I can't speak to her about it since my dad thinks I'll say something wrong...but how can we get her and my nieces to go...without force?

Tell your dad to mind his own damn business, LOL! Your sister and BIL are adults and are raising their children in the way that they see fit.

If they don't want to go to church, you shouldn't make them feel guilty about it. You'll only alienate them.

Since I have to work until 6PM on Christmas Eve I won't be able to my church's service. :crybaby: Instead I'll attend services at other church's. I have a Greek Orthodox service and an African American service lined up for the 24th. It's fun checking out how other faiths observe Christmas, and I learn a few things as well.

you shouldn't try to force or guilt them into going to church.

you could try to politely tell them about the service, let them know who else in your family is going and invite them to come with you, letting them know how much you'd like to see them there.

but if they decline, respect their decision and leave it be.
