Does anyone know the story (if any) behind Claude Akins' disappearance from the show after Season 1? His character was set up to be recurring and a possible far-future love interest for Jessica (my interpretation). I'm wondering why Akins got cold feet or if there was any rumblings on the set or in contract deals that drove him off. He was very likable.
