View Full Version : Should Nickelodeon get rid of Nick at Nite?
tenter 12-10-2015, 06:46 PM Seeing as more majority voted yes to remove Nick at Nite. The block has been going downfall for years airing autopilots, and with new acquisition airing on late night slots instead of primetime. SpongeBob taking up on N@N primetime slots, and movies airing almost every day or every week, with same repeated movies.
Bottom line: let the block gone for good
jehobden 12-11-2015, 06:30 PM I just wish it would go back to the way it was when it started 30 years ago. Now TV Land is about as bad, with original series that are probably as trashy as anything on the networks. At least there's Me-TV to keep me happy for now. Antenna TV has good things too, but since it isn't on U-Verse, I can only see it on a so-so digital signal from a home digital antenna, and it does some of the things more typical of other stations now, like syndie prints (Me-TV usually airs full episodes, even if they're a bit sped up.) and credit crunching. :(
retrofan05 12-11-2015, 07:17 PM Yep. There's no reason to have both Nick at Nite and TV Land, especially with Cable TV dying more and more everyday.
mets82 12-14-2015, 01:06 PM I voted no. If they didn't change it or gotten rid of it by now, then I don't think they will. I think they should get rid of Nick at Nite, and TVLand or at least reboot the channels.
mets82 12-14-2015, 02:16 PM Yes, I think it's the beginning. Watch when Younger comes back. They will probably pre empted everything for it. They are going to screw with TVLand because not only is Younger coming back but I think another new show is coming.
tooltime1987 12-15-2015, 09:11 PM I think Nick@Nite should reacquire Home Improvement and air it in the 10PM or 11PM hour every night. (7 nights a week)
imanoldguy 12-22-2015, 12:57 AM Yeah. I've flipped past this channel a few times and ugh.... All the shows suck EXCEPT The Fresh Prince Of Bell Air. But yes I do agree with most other posters that Nick should get rid of Nick@Nite
HauntedThunderman94 01-13-2016, 05:44 PM Nick at Nite is waste of space. It's just the same four shows (Full House, Friends, George Lopez and Fresh Prince) played to death multiple times a night.
Crusinforabrusin 01-13-2016, 07:42 PM Definitely. Like previous posters have said, its the same 4 shows every single night with no variety. Now if Nick@Nite added more 1970s ,1980s,1990s shows, other than Full House, Fresh Prince, Friends, George Lopez, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
king of comedy 01-13-2016, 08:15 PM it is a waste. I agree with more variety it might get better.
James28 02-27-2016, 03:18 PM Any TV-show-rerun channel that has to air the exact few shows and therefore lacks variety is really boring. If the viewership for such channels is high or respectable, then it (the viewership) would be questionable. This thread shows that any Viacom-owned cable channel just can't be trusted.
tlc38tlc38 02-27-2016, 03:26 PM They shouldn't get rid of it, they should just change the shows.
More classics from 60s-90s.
Svenfan1234 02-27-2016, 03:31 PM Yeah, kind of like how The Hub was
tlc38tlc38 02-27-2016, 04:17 PM 60s and 70s sitcoms doesn't work for Nick at Nite anymore. Right now they're into somewhat late 80s/90s/and 2000s, more modern shows since this is now 2016. It's no longer a classic network anymore. Things changed.
LOL that's the problem.
Svenfan1234 02-27-2016, 05:06 PM ^ Agreed. N@N is so crappy now
bmasters9 02-27-2016, 06:08 PM Nick at Nite is waste of space. It's just the same four shows (Full House, Friends, George Lopez and Fresh Prince) played to death multiple times a night.
And none of them funny! Full House is definitely the worst, because, IIRC, it was heavy on the "Very Special Episodes."
And none of them funny! Full House is definitely the worst, because, IIRC, it was heavy on the "Very Special Episodes."
Friends is funny, Full House was funny in its early days. Never saw the other two shows.
Tubehead 03-05-2016, 01:11 AM my dream is to have nickelodeon separated channel & nick at night 24 hour channel! even have nickelodeon 24 hour channel it can be kind of like nick toon their 24 hour station!!
They don't serve purposes anymore now that the former is airing live-action and the latter already has the same audience covered by MTV, VH1, and CMT. Then again, Nicktoons still airs arguably the better 2000s shows (e.g. MLAATR, Danny Phantom, and El Tigre) and TeenNick airs the '90s Nicktoons.
This thread is about Nick at Nite!! Not Nicktoons and TeenNick!!!!!! Get it right, ok?!!
Well, if you're going to contemplate getting rid of one Nickelodeon spin-off, then isn't it rationale to discuss and analyze the continued justification of the others!?
SitcomsOffline 03-05-2016, 07:22 PM Yeah, kind of like how The Hub was
But remember, The Hub failed (miserably).
Svenfan1234 03-09-2016, 10:02 PM my dream is to have nickelodeon separated channel & nick at night 24 hour channel! even have nickelodeon 24 hour channel it can be kind of like nick toon their 24 hour station!!
They have that. It's called TV Land
tenter 03-09-2016, 10:06 PM They have that. It's called TV Land
Although TVLand is a sister network of Nick at Nite, but TVLand programming shows are NOT really the same. TVLand plays Everybody Loves Raymond, somewhat played How I met your mother, New Adventures of Old Christine, Andy Griffith, Gilligan's Island, King of Queens, among few others. Nick at Nite plays 4 shows that CURRENTLY does not air in TVLand: Full House, Fresh Prince, George Lopez, and Friends. Friends used to air in TVLand, but not this time anymore.
Svenfan1234 03-09-2016, 10:44 PM ^ Yeah but I wouldn't want to have a 24-hour N@N channel. It wouldn't have variety
Hawkee 03-14-2016, 02:44 AM I think Nickelodeon should try to update Nick At Nite and get rid of Nick At Nite and combine both Nick At Nite and TV Land into a whole new channel renamed The Classics and would it would be is a whole new channel full of classic sitcoms and the channel lineup for The Classics would consist of the following shows,
1. I Love Lucy
2. Father Knows Best
3. Family Affair
4. Bewitched
5. I Dream Of Jeannie
6. The Lucy Show
Many more shows would be added from time to time and here's another wonderful treat that The Classics would have that would be cool to see. The Classics would show retro commercials during commercial breaks and feature a host discussing fun facts about every commercial that was shown during the commercial break. And believe me this would be an awesome idea for Nickelodeon to do that would replace Nick At Nite and combine it with TV Land and it would get Nick At Nite and TV Land better ratings and audience if it would work wonders,
Do you agree?,
Bestie
mets82 03-14-2016, 03:37 PM I dont think the classics would work at Nick at Nite unless they plan to gut the channel and start over. But if you wanted a quicker fix what I would do for Nick at Nite is have shows like:
Step by Step
Boy Meets World
Blossom
Saved by the Bell
The Wonder Years
Thats off the top of my head. I had another idea that I posted. I dont know if it was on this thread or not.
I Agree mets82 for the longest time i always said Nick at Nite should have the shows from the 90s-to the present even if some started in the 80's but they ended in the 90's for example saved by the bell, growing pains, who's the boss full house, wonder year's while tvland and metv should have the ones from the 1950s-1989 along with the 30s/40s/50s movie serials i haven't watch nick at nite for the longest time am 30 now so i would say i stop watching it 5-6 years ago.
James28 03-16-2016, 09:38 PM ^ Yeah but I wouldn't want to have a 24-hour N@N channel. It wouldn't have variety
Sir, I don't think you you'd want ANY 24-hour channel that reruns the exact same few shows every day, regardless of what its name is.
Crusinforabrusin 06-17-2016, 10:29 AM I honestly don't care about Nick At Nite and Nickelodeon anymore. They've been showing garbage for the past few years and there going to keep on doing it.
I say that, if you don't like Nick At Nite anymore, you should just forget about it. They probably will not change so what is the point in complaining about it? You should just move on from the channel and find another channel to watch. There is no point to continue whining about it. If you don't like it, watch another channel
Svenfan1234 06-17-2016, 10:33 AM Sir, I don't think you you'd want ANY 24-hour channel that reruns the exact same few shows every day, regardless of what its name is.
You need to stop your obsession of re posting everything I post. It's getting kind of weird and awkward. And I don't think you would, since names are such a huge freaking deal to you.
MrCleveland 06-17-2016, 01:36 PM I think Nickelodeon should ditch N@N since it has TV Land.
And some of the N@N shows can be seen for the Nickelodeon viewers...that's just me.
Crusinforabrusin 06-17-2016, 07:19 PM Did you all notice that Nick@Nite just changed the new logo and bumpers since late last month? The logo were rainbow colors and switched back to transparent colors. The bumpers are notably different than 2012 version. At least it get updated. But shows are NOT! TVLand originals will likely air on Nick@Nite.
And why are you posting this few months late?! I just started this thread last year in December and complained nothing is same, then now I moved on! I thought I liked Nick@Nite when I was little though now, nothing is worth doing!
I meant the post to be for everyone who dislikes Nick At Nite. I was not directing that statement towards you
Tubehead 06-18-2016, 12:53 AM i remember hearing back couple years ago! that tv land was going to come out with tv land 2!! but it never did happen!! i think nick at nite should be an 24 hour classic channel like antenna tv or hall mark movie channel!! i also would put nickelodeon as 24 hour kids shows!! i would show classic & modern cartoons on 24 hour nickelodeon!!
Svenfan1234 06-18-2016, 10:36 AM ^I think TV Land 2 sounds like a great idea and then we could ditch N@N once and for all. I mean seriously ... you can get Fresh Prince for cheap on DVD if you truly want it and same goes for George Lopez and Friends.
BigManMike 06-18-2016, 10:44 AM ^I think TV Land 2 sounds like a great idea and then we could ditch N@N once and for all. I mean seriously ... you can get Fresh Prince for cheap on DVD if you truly want it and same goes for George Lopez and Friends.
And Full House as well. All four shows are owned by WB and complete on DVD. I think it's time for Nick at Nite to go. It's a useless channel.
Crusinforabrusin 06-20-2016, 09:17 PM Hello?? Is anybody listening to me??? I said what do you think of new color logo and bumpers for nick at nite?
We probably are but some of us just don't care about Nick at nite enough to comment on it
Torgo 06-21-2016, 06:45 PM Fine, whatever you say! You can destroy Nick@Nite for all I CARE!!!
Crusinforabrusin 06-23-2016, 01:27 PM Nah
Crusinforabrusin 06-23-2016, 05:00 PM Why should I?
tooltime1987 10-16-2016, 07:01 PM I would like Nick@Nite to reacquire Family Matters, Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc.
James28 12-27-2016, 12:31 AM The truth is, any TV channel that limits itself to the exact same few shows all of the time and therefore lacks variety... I get bored with such channels, too.
tenter 12-27-2016, 01:00 AM The truth is, any TV channel that limits itself to the exact same few shows all of the time and therefore lacks variety... I get bored with such channels, too.
I'm surprised you bring this thread up!
Crusinforabrusin 02-11-2017, 07:59 AM Not necessary. I would like it to go back to its original format. They have about 4 shows airing and I don't really care for any of them. As much as I like Metv and Antenna TV , id love nick at nite even more if they'd go back to the way they were. Besides classic sitcoms , Nick at Nite had shows such as Family Matters And Hangin With Mr. Cooper. Nowadays, all they ever air are Friends, Fresh Prince and George Lopez. Lack of variety

Don't forget Full House, and Nashville: CMT original shows airing every Thursdays. It seems there's article about Viacom and CMT to bring together

And Friends and Fresh Prince are in full on DVD too, so why are they on Nick at Nite?!

You forgot to mention Full House and George Lopez on DVD too. When was last time you watched nick at nite?
I have been posting all Nick at Nite discussion for months in thread and yet nobody seemed to respond or read my posts.
And speaking of which..

http://comforttv.blogspot.com/2017/02/remembering-when-nick-at-nite-was-still.html
That’s what Nick did. It said that great television shows from the past are important. They deserve to air in prime time, not on Sunday morning at 6am as we were used to seeing them on UHF channels in the pre-cable era. They deserved to have their runs aired in order, with each episode introduced by title, original airdate, and with a note made of any special guest stars or memorable moments. They deserve to have the closing credits play full-screen, not squeezed into a corner to make room for a promo for the show coming next.
We take watching these shows via streaming service or on DVD for granted now, but this was a time when you still had to watch TV shows on television. That’s one reason why Nick at Nite became such a haven for classic TV fans. All the shows we loved were here, and we could tune in at 8 and never change the channel through the wee hours of the morning. It was always there when we wanted it, all night, every night.
My Nick at Nite years were also the first time I realized how many other people loved the classics as much as I did.
Tuning in felt like being part of a club that met every night to share happy memories. We got the jokes featured in the network’s quirky promotions, such as interviewing "the back of Patty Duke’s head," that others wouldn’t get (or wouldn’t care about).
Even the commercial breaks were entertaining. One of the Nick’s most charming inventions was its array of musical bumpers, some animated, some live action, that had qualities both retro and absurdist. Adding to the fun were the satiric PSAs entitled “How to Be Swell,” the Adventures of Milkman, the Block Party Summer marathons (presented in VertiVision!) and the appearances of Dick Van Dyke, who proudly served as Nick at Nite’s Chairman.
Sadly, like many wonderful things in this life it was a lovely moment in time that didn’t last.
Gradually the shows of the 1950s-1970s gave way to the shows of the 1980s and 1990s. When that happened, even though new arrivals like Taxi and All in the Family could rightly be called classics as well, the innocence was gone. Suddenly, seemingly overnight, Nick at NIte was no longer a network that, as I described in one of my books, specialized in “the kind of shows that went well with warm blankets, pajamas, and graham crackers on a TV tray.”
More than 30 years after the debut of Nick at Nite, the success of MeTV and Decades proves there is still an audience that cherishes Comfort TV, and gladly shuns the ever-passing pop culture flavors of the week to live proudly in the past. It also suggests that these series are attracting new viewers as well, which brings me some hope that the shows I love will not one day be relegated to the dustbin of history.
jasonbigley 02-17-2017, 10:47 PM I think we can all agree that it is sad at what Nick At Nite has become. It was about 20 years ago when I first started to watch Nick At Nite (at the age of 11). I was not from the '50s, '60s or '70s, so it was a treat for me to be able to watch these shows being from a different generation. I still watch some of these shows in 2017 on DVD or if available on Netflix. The things I loved about Nick At Nite were the variety that they had and those jingles they had. They were very creative back then. Around 2002 or 2003, they jumped the shark so to speak. They started adding modern shows and did away with their own jingles. They started to air the same few shows over and over. They started doing off the clock programming and crunching the credits to have more commercial time. It will be interesting to see what happens to Nick At Nite within the next 5 or 10 years.
tenter 02-18-2017, 01:53 PM I couldn't agree more. I did recall I used to watch Nick@Nite in 1998 or 1999, and I never knew or understood that there were more classics than now.
2002 or 2001 I was a little shock or saddened that it's takin to mere 80s or early 90s when added Cosby Show to Nick at Nite. In 2004 or 2005, had been worse as it tends to focus more on the 90s section. Lot horrible that credit crunches as of late 2009 when rebranded, and more modern shows like My Wife and Kids, Malcolm, Everybody Hates Chris, etc were joined lot 2000s shows that didn't last much longer, although exception is George Lopez.
Currently WHY George Lopez still airing on Nick at Nite??? Why does Nick at Nite even exist? Why can't Nick at Nite just shut down?! Today's is much horrible. I don't care for this anymore, I just only care the content and analyzing ratings, scheduling. I would really prefer early 2000s Nick at Nite scheduling like Facts of Life, Family Ties, Coach, Perfect Strangers, Cosby Show, Head of the Class (i haven't watched those before)
mets82 02-18-2017, 03:44 PM Now are they going to revamp Nick at Nite? I mean it's pathetic. Didn't they say they were going to revamp Viacom?
tenter 02-18-2017, 04:09 PM Now are they going to revamp Nick at Nite? I mean it's pathetic. Didn't they say they were going to revamp Viacom?
That could be possible soon, it didn't say exactly when it will start. CMT and Nick at Nite in the article.
BigManMike 02-18-2017, 07:23 PM I guess Nick at Nite is too cheap to get shows from other distributors because Full House, Fresh Prince, Friends, and George Lopez are all from Warner Brothers.
tenter 03-28-2017, 10:50 AM To make things worse, they were airing movies in lack of rotation on Fridays, and sometimes Sunday (not consistent), since past 2 Sunday nights
tenter 05-02-2017, 08:28 AM any other members want to vote to remove Nick at Nite?
Mace Dolex 05-02-2017, 01:05 PM I must be so out of the loop but just how are TVLand and Nick @ Nite any different? Which one has the better programming? which has the worst?
Tubehead 05-03-2017, 12:18 AM tv land shows :

every one loves raymond

tenter 05-04-2017, 11:55 AM just to double check, is the poll already closed? if it is, im sorry for bumping thread up. since i already voted in the past, im unable to do so when it said "you already voted in the poll". i don't know how to edit the first post in poll to change from closed to open the poll forever. noticing half say they wanted to remove Nick@Nite, while other half says keep nick@Nite. its questionable how likely the future holds up. if any former members already voted in this poll, and would like to change the vote but unable to do so, it's ok to post in this.
anyway tvland programming has more shows than nick@nite since that network only runs nighttime programming in nickelodeon network, and tvland is 24 hours network, so it has more shows but lacks variety.
TVLand also shows Adventures Christine and HIMYM but those in late night hours, some few cases weekend marathons. Wiki lists Bosom and Buddies and Reba airing on TVLand but Reba used to be on TVLand before, but not anymore this time. Don't know when that show was pulled. I don't remember Bosom Buddies airing on TVLand in 2010s (only airing in mid 2000s), assumed its a typo. Oh well.
Sunday May 7 8PM TVLand is airing MTV Movie and TV Awards, ugh.. Good thing is Nick is not doing this. Wasn't there supposed to be TVLand Awards? I haven't seen those since last year, but last year was TVLand Icon Award.
Like Nick@Nite is no longer acquiring any classic shows, TVLand isn't going to bother to get new acquisition of classic shows. thats all.
mets82 05-04-2017, 01:18 PM I wonder what the endgame is for Nick at Nite and TVLand? I mean is this it? TVLand cranks out original programming and that's it? You have to wonder if both networks will be around in a few years.
Regulus 05-04-2017, 11:43 PM Stick a fork in them, they're done!
tenter 06-29-2017, 09:39 AM YES GET RID OF NICK @ NITE!!!!!!!! ALL THEY SHOW IS STUPID DUMB ICE AGE MOVIES OVERPLAYING AS WELL AS SAME 4 SHOWS, EVEN FULL HOUSE BARELY GETS PLAYED ANYMORE, SKIPPING EPISODES
AND VIACOM DOES NOT EVEN CARE SHOWING VERY CHEAP MOVIES LIKE ICE AGE FOR TOO MANY TIMES TOWARD PAST SEVERAL MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who came up with the idea of showing the same few shows over and over (Hallmark does this with sitcoms, too). Thank goodness for MeTV, Antenna, etc.

That they have stupid mentality creepy way of showing Ice Age movies too much!!! What's next?! Will 8PM weekdays and weekends will be Ice Age all the time??!!
Note: I'm just being sarcastic when I said all this
But yes get rid of TVLand and Nick at Nite because nobody watch those nowadays

Yes, it's perhaps most likely run by the Viacom people.
Svenfan1234 06-29-2017, 10:27 PM Maybe it's programmed by a computer or something.
LOGO is another that butchers their shows and movies to kingdom come.
stevea 06-29-2017, 11:05 PM LOGO is just another stupid Viacom network. I saw a program on there the other day that has a pink banner ad pasted on the entire program. What a mess.
The same stupid 19+ minute programs (editing out 5+ minutes), banner ads, I could go on but why devote any more time to all their trash? The only good thing I can say about it is that they have more sitcoms than the other Viacom channels.
Comedy Gold in Canada was formerly TV Land Canada, and Viacom sold it. The new owners rebranded it (wisely). Comedy Gold runs unedited sitcoms, with no credit crunches. Hey, Viacom, how about selling one of your crap cable channels to the owners of Comedy Gold, a company that obviously knows what it's doing?
tenter 08-23-2017, 03:57 PM If any new members who hasn't voted yes or no, but I've seen majority voted for yes to get rid of Nick@Nite.

mikey0581 08-23-2017, 11:33 PM It is such a tragedy on what nick at nite became. But i got so much childhood memories that will never die. my favorite hour was at 8pm one year when they showed I Love Lucy and Bewitched back to back that was my two favorite shows. I pretty much gave up on LOGO. For a channel that was gear to Gays and Lesbians turned to a regular shows channel. I glad we have Here Tv but even thats not really good. At least Logo shows more shows like Married With Children, Alice and one day at time at good times.
mikey0581 08-23-2017, 11:34 PM I also want to say these mini marathons got to go, 2 shows is even too much but even 4 to 6 shows of the same show is way way too much, it gets old. and less variety.

tenter 08-16-2018, 05:47 PM any newcomers want to make a vote to get rid of Nick at Nite block?
With management reshuffling on Nick network, Cyma president left the network, and currently SpongeBob airs on N@N primetime slots thats ruining N@N block.
Full House could be this close to be phasing off N@N block for more Friends and SpongeBob. George Lopez is slowly reducing the airtimes.
Impressions 09-10-2018, 07:45 PM Yes, it should go. It's just a early '00s syndication dumping ground that beats their dead shows to a pulp. It's like they're not even trying anymore. At least they could have a few more shows before 1990.
tenter 09-11-2018, 12:44 AM Full House is already off N@N line-up started few weeks ago in mid August, and Goldberg's will leave Nick at nite on Sun 9/23 as it has Tvland rights on 9/22. This only leaves 3 shows left: Friends, Mom, and George Lopez. And I agree, there really is no purpose for this block.
NickSports on nicktoons ended earlier this month.
tenter 10-17-2018, 12:43 PM I'm sorry for the bump... does anyone else who has not voted, wants to make vote should Nick at Nite be removed?
Now the new president of Nick is Brian Robbins. so i hope he will fix the mess
Mrgman 10-18-2018, 08:26 PM well revamp it kind of like the splat shows classic nick shows on teenick move that to nick
TheLogoMan94 10-18-2018, 09:38 PM Nick@Nite is just a waste of air time. Why not move NickSplat to Nickelodeon? It would be a much better move and Nickelodeon would probably get a slight ratings bump. Then, of course, that leaves TeenNick, whose ratings would suffer immediately. In my opinion, TeenNick, Nick@Nite, and MTV Classic all need to go. There may be 1 or 2 Viacom networks I missed, but Viacom in general is just trash.
Speaking of MTV Classic, does anyone even know it exists, or fo they even care? MTV Classic averaged about 31,000 viewers in 2016. Here's a fun statistic: if you average that number out to every state in the country, that's 620 viewers per state. MTV Classic is just a waste of space, same as Nick@Nite. A network or block that shows 3-5 shows max doesn't need to be on the air.
Merry24 10-19-2018, 12:48 AM I would love to see NICK at NITE from 1985-1998. Go to NICK JR. Renamed NICK at NITE Senior.
Yes NICK JR. had nick mom but the content was terrible!!!
Nick Jr.’s NITE time Programming as NICK at NITE Senior should consist of Shows like Lassie & Dennis the Menace & My Three Sons & Donna Reed & Patty Duke & Make Room For Daddy & Mister Ed & Leave It To Beaver & Andy Griffith & I Love Lucy & Dick Van Dyke & Bewitched & The Munsters & Car 54, Where Are You? & Ozzie and Harriet & The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis & The Monkees & Laugh In & The Brady Bunch etc. With Classic jingles and promos:Better Living Through Television.
Regular Nickelodeon’s overnight Programming should be Original Nickelodeon Double Dare 80’s, 90’s. & You Can’t Do That On Television Finders Keepers etc.
teen nick’s overnight block should be 2000’s nick Programming.
Reguarding MTV Classic & teen nick Spectrum has it on higher tiers So we can’t watch MTV Classics or Teen nick here.
If the question is should current nick@niTe shut down the answer is YES!!!!
Viacom I suggest this...(Air original lineups not same shows).
nickelodeon should be NICKELODEON Classic at Nite (Removing nick@niTe).
nick jr. should be NICK at NITE Senior at NITE!!!
teen nick should have Nickelodeon of the 2000’s at night.
tenter 10-19-2018, 02:56 PM NickMom started in fall 2012 and ended in fall 2015, due to severe low ratings.
yes i agree nick at nite has no purpose. nick at nite needs to stop airing same repeated movies over and over, especially Ice Age movies, and other animated movies like SpongeBob!
I would say in my opinion, maybe air Henry Danger, Knight Squad, Game Shakers, Loud House, iCarly, Victorious, Sam and Cat, etc.. to replace N@N block.
no more Mom, Friends, nor George Lopez. Already those shows already on other networks especially paramount network, except George Lopez that needs to move back to TVLand or other networks.
tenter 11-16-2022, 02:08 PM Sorry to bump up thread, nick@nite is now down to 2 shows: Friends and Mike & Molly.
Friends became top priority and ratings STILL does well, but still...
I would move Friends to TVLand primetime most. And Mike & Molly already airing in other viacom channels.
There's no point keeping nick@nite anymore, and is a shell of former self
Merry24 11-16-2022, 03:07 PM To me I think the problem is not so much FRIENDS itself it’s the total lack of variety nick@niTe has. If FRIENDS Was on 10pm-12AM. Fine. If they want to have a FRIENDS Week Marathon from 9pm-6AM Fine BUT this show being on EveryniTe for years basically airring EveryniTe from 9pm-6AM is not fine.
TVLAND tryed FRIENDS it didn’t do as well there. Perhaps logo can take the rights?
Like all shows that have been on nick@niTe it’s time to say farewell to FRIENDS all niTe & every niTe Marathons. It’s time for nick@niTe to find other programming as well.
Although unfortunately after all the years it has been airring it is still very popular and still doing very well for nickelodeon/nick@niTe. Unfortunately until you see a drop or sponsors backing out I sadly don’t see a change anytime soon. Until Paramount/nickelodeon/nick@niTe says it’s time to put FRIENDS on Hiatus or decides not to renew there contract or until nick@niTe says it’s time to move on from FRIENDS I don’t see anything differently happening on nick@niTe.
P.S. TVLAND Schedule also has done the same thing with Paid Programming-MASH-Westerns-Andy-Raymond-King Of Queens-Two and a Half Men Roseanne-The Goldbergs-The Adventure of old Christine-The Golden Girls-now Mike and Molly.
Yong Fang 11-17-2022, 04:25 AM TV is rapidly changing and becoming obsolete, it has become an "On Demand" system where I can watch any TV show anytime. I do not need Nick at Night. If I want to watch Mork and Mindy, I just pick up my mobile device, go to the website, type in the title and there it is.
tenter 06-04-2023, 01:23 PM anybody else want to vote? Im not sure if the voting was closed
Dude111 06-04-2023, 04:48 PM I voted YES...... Nothing on it but trash!!
tenter 02-15-2024, 07:40 AM For the people who has not voted, please do so. My apologies for spamming posts in thread, but...
OK, should nick removed nick@nite?
FHCastmember 02-15-2024, 09:21 PM yes the block is a shell of it's former self
