View Full Version : TV shows with profanity in its title?
James28 12-03-2015, 09:10 AM I wonder if there are any TV shows with a profanity or obscenity in its title.
An example is The Bastard Executioner on FX, which ran for one season last fall and has already been cancelled.

that's not profanity.
Bonniegirl 12-05-2015, 01:53 PM Not a TV show but a movie " Damn Yankees"!
Schmoopie 12-08-2015, 03:56 AM Technically "Beavis and Butthead" could be considered profanity, depending on your opinion of the word "Butthead". I admit that I was kind of taken aback by the title when it first aired. Not offended but it made me more aware of the sad state of TV today.
Coffeecup 12-12-2015, 07:56 PM I did't realize that there was many. Only show mentioned that I watched was Good Christian Bitches. I did read somewhere to lighten the title you could have called it Good Christian Beauties. If I recalled it was with Kristen Chenowitch. Don't know if the spelling correct.
James28 12-16-2015, 01:45 AM A TV series with the word "Hell" in its title:
The word "Hell" is commonly recognized as a profanity/swear word. There is a new comedy series on CBS titled Angel from Hell. If Angel from Hell makes it to its third or fourth season, will the fact that it has the word "Hell" in its title alone make it a tough sell for syndication?

That title has been allowed to be spoken on tv, but only if the title as written is displayed on screen at the same time. Jimmy Fallon explained this one time as he was interviewing Eugene Levy about the show, and JEOPARDY! displayed the title as a contestant spoke it while questioning an answer about the show.
