I still watch Wacky races sometimes, it's shown about 3 times every day over here!

I think Dasterdly and Muttley were definetly the best characters but I really like Penelope Pitstop too.

I don't think Dasterdly and Muttley ever won a race, it was normally one by either Peter Perfect of the Anthill Mob.

You are correct JethroSimpson, Dick Dasterdly did not win a single race. That was Hanna-Babera's way of giving kids a lesson in ethics and morals. They showed the various ways in which Dick Dasterdly would cheat during the race, but in the long run he would always lose the race.

I loved watching this cartoon when I was kid.

The Mean Machine indeed never won, once appearing to win but was (perhaps unfairly) “disqualified for… stretching a point.”

However, the remaining 10 racers divided the 34-race winner’s circle as evenly as humanly possible, with 4 winning four times and the remaining 6 three times.

As for the title of “The World’s Wackiest Racer”, The Boulder Mobile was runner-up an incredible 8 times out of 34, clearly giving the Slag Brothers the overall win.
