Which channel did you watch the most?
For me it was Nickelodeon. I love the cartoons, classic bumpers, variety, and particularly, The Animation.

Disney on the hand, I hate with a passion. All those shows seem stupid. Disney also has pretty lousy animation, if you ask me.

I am not a fan of Nick or TV Land, they were once good but that was long ago. I grew up watching Disney movies but didn't watch the Disney Channel often and NOT the junk they offer now. I am more of a Classic Disney person even though the ones I love were made long before I was born. I wish that with all the Disney channels they have they would dedicate just one for the classic movies and the original Mickey Mouse Club they once aired on Sunday nights (Wonderful World Of Disney) that my parents grew up with. Yep, we need a Classic Disney Channel.

For me it was kind of half and half. I watched Nickelodeon from around age 3 to 11 or 12. We didn't get the Disney Channel until I was in 6th grade. Once that happened I watched mainly Disney up through my first couple of years of college. I watched Nickelodeon randomly at the same time.

For me, it was more Nickelodeon and less Disney. Sure, I watched Recess, The Proud Family, stuff like that. But I mostly spent my childhood watching Nickelodeon. The same goes for their programming blocks Nick @ Nite and (at the time) Nick Jr.

Same here...even though I love Donald Duck cartoons and the things he's in, I lean more towards Nickelodeon.

In a way, I wish I could find the "Walt Disney Presents" that feature Donald Duck, I hope Hulu has those shows soon, but I am happy that "Doug" and "Rugrats" are on Hulu.

I'm proud to say that I'm one of the ones that grew up with the "golden age" of Nickelodeon and Disney. I especially loved Nickelodeon's bumpers! I just wished I had more VHS tapes of Nickelodeon from the '90s. Here's a question: what years would you say Nickelodeon and Disney went "downhill"?

I have no idea about Disney, but I'll tell you Nickelodeon. For me, Nickelodeon seem to gone down hill in 2001, with the addition of, The Fairly Oddparents. But that wasn't Nickelodeons real demise. That came in 2009 when Nickelodeon got rid of the splat logo. I was really upset when that happened and to me, that's when Nickelodeon TRULY went downhill .

Your are absolutely correct. For me, besides 2009, I'd say 2005. I was 11 then. I was still watching Nickelodeon. By 2008, when I was 13, I realized that the Nickelodeon I was watching was not what it was when I was, say, 3 back in 1997. Times were different. When Nickelodeon got rid of the 'splat' logo in 2009, that was the last straw.

You can't forget those classic Nickelodeon bumpers, can you? Remember back in the 90s Nick had a whole bunch of bumpers! They were creative with them Too! Now, take a look at Nickelodeon. Lacks in variety, can't even make new bumpers, boring logo, oh here's the biggie: their live action shows. Ok, Nickelodeon had some live action shows in the 90s, but those were funny! These ones today, not so much. I feel bad for the kids that have to watch this mind rotting garbage.

I never had cable although I would say Disney because I used to watch the One Saturday Morning block they had on ABC back in the 90s and early 2000s. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I also remember 101 Dalmatians, Recess, and one called Squigglevision.

I would say when "Spongebob" got on Nickelodeon! By then, it became The Spongebob Network!

For The Disney Channel...it was when they ditched Vault Disney. It's now on TCM, which is a rival station...but Turner Classic Movies plays more Disney than The "Disney" Channel!

If Disney feels that they can get more $$$ by selling their shows...why can't they have The Disney Afternoon on Boomerang? (I won't doubt they'll have that coming up soon)!

I'm in my mid twenty's woman that sometimes watch Nick's live action. My favorite is Henry Danger, Nicky Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, Game Shakers. I used to watch iCarly, Sam and Cat, Victorious, Big Time Rush, Drake and Josh. But that time not anymore because of Nick's horrible treatment for these former shows. So what have you got against Nickelodeon's current live actions? Like how is it different like other than being funny?

I used to be Nickelodeon kid in late 90s when I was 9 or 10 yrs old. I still like classic cartoons and sometimes live actions like All That, Kenan and Kel.

Also I'm sad that not only did Nickelodeon had rebrand in 2009 but losing its touch in slime.

I did watch Ren & Stimpy when it debuted but I was 15 at that time and I wasn't a normal Nick viewer, Disney on the other hand I never cared for and always viewed them as a sissier toned down version of the more entertaining Looney Tunes.

In fact the only Disney show I watched regularly was Gargoyles because the writing was good and didn't feature goofy characters.

I divided my time between Nickelodeon and PBS when I was a kid. I wanted The Disney Channel soooo bad, but my parents wouldn't get it.

I never had The Disney Channel, only got to see it during free preview weekends. This was when they aired classic movies and cartoons back the 80's. So I was a Nickelodeon girl. I was from the era of Pinwheel, Today's Special, Belle and Sebastian, David the Gnome, Out of Control, Danger Mouse, You Can't Do That on Television,Mr. Wizard, The Third Eye, Livewire, and A Very Special Delivery, which was their version of the ABC Afterschool Special. Being home sick from school was a lot more tolerable with all these great shows I was able to watch, and my grandparents even taped it for me so I could watch after school and on weekends. Looking back, I was so glad to be a kid in the 80's.

@Michael cole, I know you are a classics of watching Nickelodeon, but why do you have against Nick's current live action? What's the difference between classic live action you used to like, other than being funny??

Things that make Old Nickelodeon Live- Action better(other than being funny)
-Better Writing
-Better Scripts
- GOOD actors
- mostly CLEAN jokes

Plus the reason I don't care for The Modern Nickelodeon Live Action shows probably has to do with the fact that I don't watch Nickelodeon anymore because all they show are trash shows.

Nickelodeon over Disney for me. As a kid I always hated Disney because I disliked family-friendly programming back then. Nickelodeon was cooler with shows like Turkey Television and You Can't Do That on Television.

This link makes me upset. Dan Schneider reveals why Nick shows are cancelled. But this is upsetting when young kids have short attention span.

Hey now, maybe you could try Brady Bunch because these descriptions best fit there.

Nickelodeon for me definitely. I watched some Disney stuff like Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, Proud Family, Hannah Montana but I pretty much watched everything Nickelodeon had up until around the time iCarly came around. Now I pretty much only watch the occasional rerun of Alvin and the Chipmunks and SpongeBob.

Both, for me. I never stuck to one religiously.

I'll go with none of the above!

I was primarily a Hanna-Barbera child---and proud of it!
