Zoneboy 11-18-2015, 09:54 PM Unlike that buffoon that does the Rowdy trash reviews, I was able to watch this in it's entirety. It's a very well thought out review and he makes a few good points but despite all that the show still sucks. He did make one small mistake, he stated that Lee Meriwether played Catwoman on the Batman TV show and she did not. Mace Dolex 11-19-2015, 12:16 AM Well Lee Meriwether did play Catwoman but it was on the 1966 Batman feature film. They should have gotten someone who resembled Fred and Al also used a different Marilyn. Brad Garrett would have been a better Herman Munster. Mace Dolex 03-16-2017, 05:05 PM If they ever went to a full lengh feature today I always thought Ed Helms (The Hangover movies) would make a great Herman Munster too, he has that slight elongated face and big teeth. Duster76 03-17-2017, 12:11 AM Look, let's start with a rather obvious observation, anyone who refers to Lee Meriwether as a fantastic actress knows nothing about acting. The lead roles of the larger than life Herman, Lilly and Grandpa are difficult to fully realize and Schuck, Meriwether and Morton were just in over their heads. Frankly, it might have been better to just go with unknowns and hope to catch lightning in the bottle. The second problem was on the production side, Bonnie Franklin directed many of the episodes, and she had no understanding of what made The Munsters classic TV to begin with. gopyle 03-31-2017, 02:35 AM As with most remakes, it was ill-advised, because the original was so good. No fix possible. |
