"I think when people watch TV they don't see each other as much,” Seinfeld tells People. "But we don't turn on the TV. Only if it's sports and only baseball. We kind of like to sit in the bedroom at night and catch up on everything – it's nice."

I went through those "non television" phases here and there in my life... currently for the last couple of weeks I've only been watching Seinfeld discs.

But Jerry's life isn't usual. Not everyone has little kids, and most of us DO work all day. We need to hears the weather and maybe the news, and some of us DO like some entertainment.
I don't think his statement means anything.

My point was there's a bit of a pompous absurdity to those who declare, "Television? No, I never watch it."
So... what does it matter who watches television and who doesn't?
