She fought so hard for her job when they had a budget crunch, then didn't go with her Ex to his new job - it seems out of character for her just to disappear.

I had stopped following the show by then, but I do remember Gloria Reuben, the actress playing "Jeanie Boulet" left ER to sing backup on Tina Turner's Twenty Four Seven tour in 2000. It was suppose to be Tina's final tour, but she toured again in 2008. There are videos of Gloria singing backup on YouTube. I remember seeing her on Oprah with Tina being very happy to be there. According to a TVGuide article (http://www.tvguide.com/news/er-gloria-reuben-41339/), she left because she was bored with her ER storylines.

Yes, I understand that the actress wanted to leave. It just left a hole in the story, that's all. It doesn't make sense that someone who fought for her job so hard would just leave.

And that someone who wanted a relationship, would give up her ex yet jump into marriage. With a baby already.
