I need some help figuring out the end of an episode I was watching on tape the other day!!!!!

As usual, Nick-at-Nite (that's how old my tapes are!) cut out the ending to make room for commercials.

The episode is about Donna and Alex arguing about a "flowered print dress" she once wore. Donna doesn't remember it but Alex does. Finally, at the end of the episode, the proverbial light goes on in her head, she gasps, and runs downstairs. THAT is where the episode ends (Thanks a LOT, Nick-at-Nite!!! :( )

Does she run downstairs to find the answer to the mysterious dress or what? I'm DYING to find out!!!!!!

Hey, I read this post awhile ago, and remembered the show, but didn't know the answer. That episode was on TVLand today. Did you see it?????? I taped it because I wasn't home, and believe it or not, my tape cut off right at that same part. I can't believe it!!!!! So if you saw it, or if anyone did, can you please answer this question????:(

She runs to the attic and opens a trunk and pulls out the "flowered-print" dress. It was the one that she wore the night that Alex proposed to her and they remember that he couldn't afford to pay for the meal at the restaurant that night.

Then they have a "fight" and Donna is happy.

Thank you sooooooo much CJ! I am taping Donna Reed for a friend of mine who does not have TVLand and I feel bad that the tape cut off. Now maybe if I can tell him what happened, he'll forgive me! LOL!

According to the TV Now schedule for Donna Reed, this episode will be repeated later in July, so you'll have another chance to tape it.

It looks like TV Land is repeating the whole first season of Donna Reed and The Waltons.

This episode is pretty funny. My favorite scene is when Donna is wearing the sexy dress with all the fringes. Alex tells her that she looks like a dance hall hostess. The kids then come into the bedroom and see Donna wearing the dress. Jeff says, "Zow Weee." Then Donna has the daydream where she is modeling different dresses for Alex. When Alex seems disinterested, Donna throws a bouquet of flowers at him. I also like the scene where Donna and Alex go to the young couple's house for dinner and the young woman starts to cry when her husband says that her salad dressing didn't taste as good as it usually did. Funny stuff.
