The Banana Splits are seen having fun at an amusement park during the opening and closing of their show, riding the log flume, going down the giant slide, ect.... What park was used for this ?

I asked this before elsehwere, was told it was someplace in Ohio and not longer after the piece was filmed for the Banana Splits the park closed was soon leveled. I was also told it was Coney Island but this place looks nothing like Coney Island I saw visiting New York years ago.

I havent seen the show in years, not since TBS and the copies I have, the ending was cut off.

I'm not sure if it says in the credits but I'm fairly sure that the place is called "Kings Island" becuse there is a Partridge Family episode which I'm almost certain is the same park because it looks identical and the Bannana Splits puppets also featurre in the episode.

I don't know which state it is though.

That Amusement Park also looks like the one The Brady Bunch visited in one episode... Which was in Ohio, Cincinatti i think...
I do beileve the Cartoon Network shows a Banana Splits episode once in a while, it's usually on that weekend show where they show cartoons from a particular year. The name escapes me.

For years I believed it too was Kings Island. My cousin back in the early 80s was working for King Island's sister park in Virginia, Kings Dominion , I remember him telling me that HB was looking at filming scenes of the Banana Splits at KD but for some reason it didnt came to be.

But the mystery continues....

Kings Island opened in 1972 ( around the same time as the Brady Bunch episode , Barry Williams talks about it being a "brand new park"in his bio years ago)

Kings Dominion opened in 1975

The Banana Splits were filmed between 1968-to around 1970.
before any of these two parks were opened.
