"Quantico" Recruits "Happy Endings" Alum Eliza Coupe for "Hardcore" Arc

"Happy Endings" alum Eliza Coupe is joining ABC's "Quantico" as Hannah Wyland, TV Line has confirmed.

Wyland graduated from the FBI academy seven years ago. Her ambition, combined with her looks and her confidence, has rocketed her past her competition in the intervening years.

And then there’s this juicy bit, direct from the official character description: “She can turn on the soap, sex and romance, but at heart she’s a hardcore career agent with countless notches in her belt.”



Coupe will first show up in Episode 10, likely to air in early 2016.

We hear the role comes with a series-regular option.

Eliza Coupe to Return to "Quantico"

"Quantico‘s" Agent Hannah Wyland is poised to return to active duty. Eliza Coupe will make an appearance on the ABC drama in the new year, TVLine has learned exclusively.

“We’re very excited to have her back. She will be in Episode 9,” which will air in 2017 when the series returns from its winter break, showrunner Joshua Safran says.



Coupe’s return is limited to one episode for now, though Safran says she’s welcome back when her schedule allows.

“She is the lead of Future Man that’s on Hulu, even though they’ve wrapped part of Season 1 or most of Season 1, so she has to be in L.A. and available to that show,” Safran says. “So as much we we’d love to have her back, yes it is definitely left open. It’s just a scheduling matter.”







The "Happy Endings" alum appeared in four episodes in "Quantico‘s" first season, playing a tough G-woman who was once married to Jake McLaughlin’s Ryan. Though Hannah and Alex didn’t get along at first, the more experienced FBI agent eventually came to believe that Parrish’s suspicions about a terrorist plot were correct.

Unfortunately, that solidarity (and firing a gun into the air in a room full of freaked-out people) eventually helped get Hannah suspended from the Bureau.
